It could be interesting to tie them more directly into the whole Mt. Wundagore / Chthon thing, perhaps casting one of them in the 'Raven' role from Teen Titans, of being the child-of-prophecy who must open the prison and let Chthon out... (Only, when that fails, boom, the other works fine, too! Chthon thought ahead and made twins, so he'd have a spare key!)

The twins deriving their powers from overtly mystical sources could be interesting, particularly Quicksilver, who's never really been seen in that light, and could have some sort of 'speed demon' within him (and be tied to his legendary temper/attitude).

Very likely. And the psychoanalysts would all be in a frenzy to breakdown their relationship. Especially since Wolverine didn't much care for Cyclops when he first met him. In the animal kingdom it's not uncommon for one of the parents to kill off one of their young. For whatever reason. It would mean that Wolverine's super sharp senses were blind to the fact that Scott was his. And it would make you wonder if that was an intentional lapse, or not. Heck, I'd probably throw in Havok as being Wolverine's son, too, just for the heck of it. Momma Summers and Wolverine having a torrid affair. Not hard to sell that.
