Default Is Jean Grey the biggest goodie two shoes in X character history?

Yeah you got Kitty too but Jean is ultra good, right? She gets very angry around Madelyne Pryor, Sinister, or Emma but who is more wholesome? She's basically the x version of Sue Richards. Doesnt want to cheat or do anything out of bounds..is guilt ridden into submission when she does cross a line like in X Men #25. I mean as soon as Onslaught showed her that Xavier wanted to have sex with her at 16, she couldnt wait to ship him off in the aftermath(X Men #57).

She doesnt resort to different means like Storm.

Psylocke and Domino have been apart of death squads.

Even though Rogue will always do the "right thing", she refuses to let anyone dictate her friendship with Magneto.

Magik loves to mess with people when she gets bored.

Dazzler almost went too far during her dark phase a few years ago.

So Jean is the goodie two shoes of the genre?

I am not an expert on her, but would Siryn be the closest thing to a good girl? Seems she's always the one trying to be the Angel to another character's Devil. lol

It is arguable that she is for sure.

She is not an overly-dark character, and she shouldn't be, but there is an element of darkness to her, a hint of something that scares those around her when she is at her best. Unfortunately, weak-tea modern-day writers and editors, who shall remain nameless, are inclined to strip her of the darker moments she has had, which are crucial to the dichotomy of dark and light that I think should always be present in the character.

She is very good. The best talent will use that goodness to highlight moments of potential terror in her as well. Will she be in the hands of the best talent moving forward?

    Ehhhhhhhhh.......

Hasn't been since the 90's. The last time she saw him was during the grief period of losing her baby. She had a one-night stand with him, then told him they were finished after that.

Pretty much, every Marvel character seems to praise her as the bestest, prettiest, most perfectly pure person to ever walk the Earth within minutes of meeting her, and the one story where she went dark and murdered billions was retconned to protect that saintly image.

Grant Morrison surely didn't write her as a goodie two shoes which was my favorite interpretation.

Well, considering Teen Jean is confirmed as part of her history, she used to be a lot worse.

I dunno. I feel like she was pretty righteous and good in everything she did in that run.

Or at least I agreed with everything she did in that run lol

Why did you have to mention Sue? She's not a "Goodie two shoes". Sue is willing to kill as a last resort and is not above threats.

This has been the case since even the Lee/Kirby days when Skrulls killed her father and she wanted them dead for it. It even made Reed pause and slightly shocked. So it has always been a part of her character to varying degrees. Thinking she's a "goodie two shoes" is looking at the basic of surface level things. There's a reason that in most alternate reality's when things go real bad she's the first of the FF to kill.

On Jean. That depends on who is writing her and how much the influence the Phoenix had on her personality. Plus, isn't being "goodie two shoes" something you'd want in a hero?

At least fix the OP or title to express that you're only talking about X-women.
