I finally read it and it's definitely Deathlok Prime. Hopefully they'll explain soon what he is doing and if his future it's related to Cable's.

I'm a bit behind on some of the more recent Deathlok related stories(like All New Invaders for example). Who/What is Deathlok Prime? Is that a nickname for Manning? When did that come into existence?

How many Deathloks there are?

The main Deathloks that I've known and have gotten some significant coverage over the decades are:
Luther Manning the original.
Michael Collins the early/mid 90s
Jack Truman late 90s/early 00s
Henry Hayes 2014-->present

So, this book is already losing me right out of the gate; the artwork isn’t that good. I must’ve missed something somewhere- since when is deathlok’s human host a serial killer?

That bit about Deathlok being a serial killer came from Jason Aaron’s Wolverine: Weapon X run and Rick Remender ran with that version in Uncanny X-Force volume 1 if I’m not mistaken.

Regardless, I’m highly torn on this series and whether I should continue to support it. One the one hand, I LOVE all things Cable and X-Force related and have been longing for the return of this team. On the other, I HATE what Brisson has done with Cable turning him into a weak teen and am not crazy about the art on this book either. I may just opt to wait it out until both of those things are hopefully corrected, even if it takes until the next relaunch. *sigh*

Such a shame. With adult Cable and a better artist, this could’ve been a hit. I fear its sales won’t even start out good and it will tank quickly as is.

Since the x-office completely missed the fact that they have a gun toting super soldier that IS a mutant as well that should have been in X-force. Bishop would have made more sense even considering the whole hope and cable thing. Deathlok makes zero sense.
