That wouldn't be Rachel, it would just be an alternate Rachel.
I assume you're joking and poking at the messed up Kid Cable stuff.

They should just kill her off or send back to her time. She’s had plenty of time to amount to something, but the most memorable thing she’s done is become a dinosaur.

She doesn't deserve to die because writers are unable to think of good stories with her.
There is nothing in her old timeline for her. She resides in 616 for a reason.
If you think that then you clearly don't know her history.
OP makes a good point, she’s always been a derivative but if you change her so much so she’s not it’s just better to create a new character without all of the baggage.
If you're not using mobile, you can highlight the post and see the "sarcasm, what's that?" line.
If you want me to be serious, I would have her hop the multiverse like a solo mission version of Exiles. What? She has plenty of experience dealing with apocalyptic futures. Rachel would deal with worlds where she needs to learn hand-to-hand combat since her powers may not work on some, needs to fight beings who are just as skilled as her like her alternate universe son, and deal with situations that are just weird like worlds with Looney Tunes logic.
They really do need to be better...the editors, the writers...everyone...
It really shows a lack of respect to the characters, the fans of those particular characters and all x-men fans in general
Every character is someone's favorite character...
And the X-office needs to start treating them and their fans with the proper respect
She has no interest in 616 Franklin as he isn't her Franklin.
And if Hickman is concerned, 616 Franklin grows up to be with her niece.
She needs a story where she gets with all the other perpetually possessed characters in some kind of support group.

It would be nice to have a definitive Rachel vs Ahab story/LS that truly breaks the character away from that past, once and for all, before re-introducing her into the x-books.
A story similar to the Dark Phoenix saga, perhaps (if we are going for the JG parallel) wherein Jean confronts and defeats Mastermind for turning her into Dark Phoenix.
The character of Rachel Summers should never have had the Phoenix Force.
She should have had incredibly strong telekinesis that "heats up" with her emotional severity. Fire effects without being 1. Phoenix, 2. pyrokinesis, or 3. arbitrary. Rachel's distinguishing characteristic should have always been her emotional intensity and severity. Having a psychic effect that suggests the manner of her mother's destruction being a natural extension of her specific power doubles down on the threat and terror that the Phoenix presents.
And ANOTHER thing:
telekinesis.jpg
This should have always been the other way around. Psylocke should have had precision tk lending itself to cleaving constructs, and Rachel's should have always been devastation, infernos, and earthquakes.
I'm not a fan of her chronesthetic psychic talent, either.

Considering Rachel is partially responsible for Stryfe, I don't think they've ever interacted. With Wifi here, I'm sure we're going to see Stryfe show up and Rachel should fight him. Stryfe should address her as Mother Askani the entire time just to mess with her.
Honestly? Find some excuse to send her into space again and never have her come back.
She's my favourite character and after Gold and Extermination I have accepted that she's never going to be allowed to achieve anything on the X-Men.
She's only going to be allowed to be remotely competent if she's far away from the core team.
