It’s been states in several comcis the amazons were Demi goddesses themselves. Has some myths they are daughters of Ares. This is why I would have liked if Diana’s goddesshood would have been from her mother. I wonder just how many amazons should be the original amazons? I mean it would make sense many women and men were welcomed into the amazons arms. Of course they were blessed by the goddess. In Marston’s version it seem Athena was also important so how would she work into this version? Generally in most myths Athena was there to fix her father’s mess. So what if there was just one to many? She leaves and hooks Aphrodite. I mean often times it stated she was more powerful than Zeus

Athena was also the one that guided men into crafts and science; the Amazons could have been the best product of that. But I will be content if all the amazons were powerful warriors and mystics with superhuman abilities just enough to defend their island, and man's world in a temporary basis, as I would like their powers to be only functional in the island (short-term outside or they lose their immortality and powers).

One thing I was wondering is what if Gaea since she was collecting souls actually was taken care of them as children ? That she wanted to give them new life. They were safe in her realm. I mean Gaea is known as the mother of all gods. So why not be a mother to the amazons until the other goddess seek her

I only meant the other amazons; only WW can sustain her powers outside PI because she is special through whatever means; creation or birthed the the gods.

I'm okay with Gaea being their main patron, though I would probably like it to be more Themis, a Titan of justice and divine order and the amazons are her sort of creation.

I wonder Mala was childhood friend of Diana. She was the one who helped Diana with placing her villains. I mean if transformation island was run by Mala again I would love to see what can happen. Like who would be there. What Villain should be redeemed. i know already have that with Mayfly.

My version all powers are a result of Amazon training.

Diana: Superhuman strength, speed, agility and durability. Wields Lasso of Hestia, Sword and Shield as weapons.

Donna: Superhuman strength, speed, agility and durability. Uses an Amazon battle staff that she channels her energy into.

Artemis: Superhuman strength, speed, agility and durability. Combines combat and casting magic. Teleportation. Can create and control magical knives and swords. Uses twin scythes.

Cassie: Superhuman strength, speed, agility and durability. Uses two gauntlets that channels electricity for maximum damage.

Akila: Uses day and night based magic and can teleport. Uses a necklace to create holographic clones of herself and allies. Wields a magic bow of light.

Hippolyta: Superhuman strength, speed, agility and durability. Uses an axe.

Phillipus: Superhuman strength, speed, agility and durability. Uses two swords that can link at the hilts.

Nubia: Superhuman strength, speed, agility and durability. Super senses. Some casting abilities. Her bracelets can release her special armor. Uses a sword that can change into a spear that fires energy blasts.

I don't see why we need a great variety in the powers of the various amazons. Just make it so they aren't all the same.

As for PI... it needs to get used for non-WW stuff. I mean Metropolis is Superman's home, and Gotham Batman's home, yet both get used in stories without them. PI is different, but if no one can go there ever, it's a background detail, and not relevant to the plot. Maybe make it so that an, over time, increasingly large number of superheroines are made honorary Amazons and thus granted access to the island. So, for example, Supergirl can fly there to talk to Hipplolyta about something. (In some continuities Kara IS an honorary Amazon already since WW brought here there to learn martial arts.) This means that it can get used in other ways than if ONLY WW(and people she personally escorts there) can ever visit it.

I mean we do have transformation island where enemies of the amazons get trains since they want to be reformed. So maybe that would be one way. Some are made honorary amazons or can go home. I mean in Golden Age Diana could go to drop off her enemies. So we can have a number of other villains in there. Another way it can be used for non Wonder Woman stuff why not have some aliens visiting Amazons

I remember an old Bird of Prey(I think) comic where several superheroines go to Themiscyra to relax and get a bit of downtime from superheroing. And as I mentioned several times, seeing Diana and the other Amazons teach Supergirl martial arts was GREAT!

It would be cool if the Amazons were goddesses themselves but the Olympians were wary of their power and sent Theseus and Heracles to enslave them. Now they are on their island and cut off from the source of their power, so they must train in hopes of one day regaining their complete powerset. When Diana leaves the island, she's released from the dampening of her powers and comes into her full divine nature.

Not my preferred way of how they get their powers, but I like the idea of them having more powers for sure and sort of have a similar idea. I just think there are so many villains in Greek Mythology that the main Olympians don't have to be their enemy. I will be okay with them being the creation of the Titan Themis, and hence "Themyscira." as there's some amazon history there if you dig deep enough in Google. Nemesis sorted acted on those who ignored Themis divine order and justice, so the amazons could have been her enforcers..
