It could still be someone or something masquerading as Dani, but it definitively not Trinary.

True but I still find it hilarious that people thought the writer made a mistake and thought they wrote Dani when it was actually Trinary. If the character is a fake, the writer knows and its intentional, not an editorial oversight

There's lots of possibilities. My guess right now would be that Nate or Legion copied Dani's memories and used the "Danger Room" to recreate her. Or it could just be a Dani based on Nate's memories of Dani.

I can dig this. Maybe this recreation of Dani is the mole? Sort of goes along with her mutant powers.
