Morrison, Waid, Giffen, JDM, and Meltzer. Yeah I know people hate Identity Crisis but the series afterwards I still enjoyed greatly.

I have trouble getting into a lot of older superhero comics so this is all pretty much post-Crisis with a tip of the hat to the groundwork laid by past writers.

1. Giffen/ Dematteis
2. Grant Morrison
3. Mark Waid
4. Joe Kelly
5. Hmmmmm... Meltzer, maybe? Jurgens?

The first three are lightyears ahead of everyone else but it's funny, there hasn't been a fully successful Justice League book for me since Kelly. There were a couple of excellent single issues in Meltzer's run but beyond that... nada.
