I have to pre order! This is amazing. It will be in bookstores for people to pick up and I am assuming it DID happen? It sure is weird to go out yr way to publish a history of something that some claim never did.

For the 75 years of WW in an EW article about the character's history, it was mentioned that Diana had an on-off flirtation with Superman since the 60s. Retroactively introducing a superkid in continuity isn't going to change that, nor pretending they were never been close in the comics is going to magically wipe-out their shared published past.

These books (the WW encyclopedia and this new one) illustrates real published history, not retcons and revisionism.

With everything else outside of comics, from encyclopedias to merch, general audience perception like the museum, why can’t they respect this in story. Not understanding why the real truthful history can’t be honored.

You should ask it to the people in charge of these characters. 😅 But the reason has probably something to do with them being both overlooked as individual characters and that is reflected on their partnership too.
