Comics should be the source not the other way around. At least that’s what I thought? 🤔 and even taking comic stories and twisting them causing the stories to lose meaning and impact etc...

They are still the source, but adaptations could pick old stories as inspiration or give a different spin to new ones. Comics will eventually adapt. SM and WW history is full of examples going back to the 70s from what I recall.

Totally backwards, counterproductive and contradictory. Shifting/twisting dynamics and ignoring what actually has been within the characters’ history hasn’t done much of anything to move the characters forward.

It just stall their development by diluting the concept.

Well yes but the twisting and revisionist stuff then synergy having the movie’s end up unnecessarily influencing the comics in the most shallowest way. Comics are suppose to be ahead and then the movies adapt that. SM and WW are the main characters that suppose to be ahead in comics and that is brought to the big screen to inspire and move forward.

But minus the movies, it was all there or at least starting to roll during new52 until it was all halted and blocked. Superman and Wonder Woman was (still is) a brand together as the “Power Couple”. What they want to achieve, SMWW gives that and more opening many opportunities to hit different markets and no matter the age, gains interest. JPG his/her fragrance was a damn good marketing move with having a companion comic but not only that, but it was a motion comic.
We already know the reactions to their very limited, non existing interaction within DCEU, imagine not only having the interaction, but to see their dynamic fully embraced.

It’s a challenge in everything way with Superman and Wonder Woman because the writers and artists have a lot to take account for as both should be represented as equals which makes the story and art stand out more.
