DC Daily Top 5 Headlines...coming at number 2, Frank Miller short interview: “The second child of Superman and Wonder Woman is off and around having an adventure with the first child of Superman and Wonder Woman”

5 comics to read this December from Entertainment Weekly(EW)

The Dark Knight Returns: The Golden Child #1 (DC Comics)
Frank Miller (writer), Rafael Grampa (artist)

In this universe, Superman and Wonder Woman have had two children: Lara, who played a major role in the previous series, The Dark Knight Returns III: The Master Race, and Jonathan, the titular “golden child.” Despite his youth, Jonathan is shaping up as a force to be reckoned with, and artist Rafael Grampa is giving the story its own look to distinguish it from its predecessors.

“I don’t try to get anybody to draw like me, and they don’t try to. I usually work with people who can draw better than me,” Miller told EW back in September. “When I work with somebody, I do my best to push them and make them work on things they might not want to, which will make them get stronger and better. But also I do my best to bring out of them what’s already there. With Rafael there’s a wonderful buoyancy. He draws people flying like nobody else has ever drawn people fly: Lara laughs and Jonathan is just always wherever he wants to be already. That’s what Raf really does bring to the page, he brings a lot of joy.”

There's more in the last DC Daily episode. The full interview with Miller about Golden Child starts around the 5 minute mark: https://roosterteeth.com/watch/dc-da...cember-04-2019

No. This doesn’t make sense and would be a huge disappointment

Ugh... I guess so. In this case, we'll just watch the scene on YouTube and skip the rest of the movie. 😂
    Yep exactly lol

This is all great! Really like the basic premise summary lol SMWW kids having an adventure! Simple 🤗

But the details we’ve gotten more of is really wonderful! Love the description of Lara being as being the first of combining two powerful cultures. She’s fierce, taking on Diana’s personality. Jonathan seems just a chill toddler. However, very intrigued with the idea of him being in touch with a ancient civilization and the cosmos.

The EW quote of Rafael’s art! Lara and Jonathan flying like little birds is sweet!

I have to admit that is a lovely still. I have a lot of misgivings of course how they will treat Diana in this. They often bend over backwards to treat other supporting characters, who are love interests, better by adding in stuff that was not even in the original etc. Yet when it comes to WW they don't have that respect. Hell they even take when she has good moments to prop others. I guess we shall see.

Also a new meme with KC Supes. LOL. I agree with the sentiment too. They have up to Conroy coming in as BM and Burt Ward maybe as a Robin. So come on, we need one WW at least.

I like all of what I'm hearing from both Miller and Grampá. Love that they acknowledge the mother too in each interviews as well as both heritages (kryptonian/amazonian) being key to define who Lara and Jon are. Can't wait to read the full book.

My expectations are really low. But I appreciate that they kept the dance scene and using it for the early promotion of the animated movie.

Having WW in the crossover could be... complicated. It's WB that has the last word on which characters CW could use and at what extent. They can use a civilian Bruce Wayne in the Crisis but not him as Batman like the limitation for the Titans show, and I'm sure that when Pattison's Batman will start its promotion, we'll never see anymore even a Bruce Wayne on these series.

As for WW... they could name dropping her like they did recently on Batwoman or Titans, I think.
Can she appears even just in civilian clothes like Wayne? The crossover begins at the same day of the promotion of WW84. That alone makes me think she isn't allowed to appear in any shape or form. 🤔

She belongs to the big screen now, while SM was "demoted" to TV (for now) and CW called dibs on him and his mythos. That's why you'll get 3 Supemen (and I read about a 4th one not yet revealed) and probably no Wonder Woman in Crisis.

I'm sure that, after Crisis will air, Marc Guggenheim will reveal some BTS about which characters they weren't allowed to use and why. He never made a mystery of WB's requests/limitations.
