Superman and Wonder Woman are constantly interrupted by a nuisance roommate in this comic sketch (skip at 8:40 for the SM/WW part):

LOL!! This whole sketch is hilarious. Diana would be the first to be understanding though. 🤣 But that’s only with emergencies. Batman being childish and petty is a total different thing.

It also reminds me of JL Action when Diana wanted dessert and dessert 😂

I notice a lot of younger people are putting smww together despite what DC movie and tv verse have. Youtube has got some very popular vloggers using smww as a couple when they do superhero humor. And they have millions of views and I am talking millions. Even more than some DC movies and tv. Heck even Lily Singh and Inanna Sarkis referenced smww when they did a collab and of course Inanna has spoofed smww.

Your modern audience has a different mindset. As I’ve said, SMWW’s dynamic was/is ahead of its time. It connects to the younger audience because of the deeper representation these two present and how they naturally connect together. It may be obvious or simple, but it’s not.

Looking at the way things are evolving for these characters, next time we'll hear about SM/WW outside of special projects like Golden Child, it'll be straight from the WB division. Last time, WB was just involved through Diane Nelson, but it was still an idea pitched by DC people. And I feel that the next "phase" of SM/WW will be up to other media.

🤔I’m really not understanding why this is being made so complicated. Seriously they really don’t look at their own data or something to see what works and what doesn’t? Their biggest indicator right now is DCEU and the ideas they thought would work floundered.

Yeah, I recall a video with SM/WW as a couple in High School shared here some time ago that has something like 70 million views. More than the people that watched JL in the theater. 🤣

That shouldn’t be as funny as it is...But it’s true and sad. Smh... This is what you get when you try to rush and force things instead of building and developing properly.

It’s not just the SMWW dynamic, which is a big factor itself how obvious it was, but it’s the individual characters as well, especially Superman.

You can see it as another step to bringing the SM/WW concept out of there. 🤔

The SMWW concept should be out with actual SMWW first not the almagams...🤨

Right. This is what I mean. With elseworlds, you have more creative freedom but even with main continuity in general, it shouldn’t have these complicated, at times unnecessary restrictions and uncreative decisions made either.

Be it an anthology or elseworld, and/or even with new52, SMWW (individual and together) requires much more creative though processes. It can happen as we the rip offs doing it all the time, we need the real deal doing the same.

Ha! Right! But it seems that this book has been in its process for about 2.5 years. Grampa doesn’t have too many posts on his page, so it’s easy to go back. Grampa seems really focused and by saying he is on the last phase, I believe even he wants the book to be released on time. 🤣
