Yeah, there should be more critical thinking about these characters from the authors. But mainly lack the interest to work with these properties and do more with them. Sadly.

Why is there a lack of interest? Because they don’t want to do not take the time for the critical and creative thinking. It’s this continuous counterproductive cycle and mindset that keeps these characters in the stagnant, uninteresting state they are in. When there is a concert brought up with the two that can work to make them relevant and elevate them, take note, keep pushing the concept forward. Stop back pedaling or given in to past mindsets and concepts so easily just because of it being a “safe zone” or whatever. Superman and Wonder Woman are meant to push boundaries, take risks etc...

Yes! Please!!! This is the purpose of their dynamic. This is what would resonate and speak to the audience they want (and need). To understand why and to make Superman and Wonder Woman relevant again. It poses as an intellectual and emotional challenge not just to Kal and Diana but to the readers as well. Gives a broader perspective of different cultural upbringing and belief yet still lead to the same goal. There is more and more interest in this concept. It needs to be a solely focused mini/maxi series ASAP!

SMWW are two characters that literally beg to have those layers and perspectives explored in an intelligent, interesting and meaningful way. They are so alike and different at the same time. So much to unpack when done correctly and with [a] writer(s) who understand the importance of this lens. I want to read this story like yesterday. Comics shouldn't just be about action for the sake of action. There's a reason why the creative works that have made the most impact as well as stood the long test of time are the ones that dug deeper into the characters and explored them in ways that made one have to really pause, think and reflect.

The perspective Clark and Diana bring to one another is one that has only been explored in passing. I would love to see it taken on purposefully.

LOL...that’s not exactly being professional. A professional would still at least try to put some effort into doing something but then again we see even when they do, “change” even for the better is frowned upon and lots of raging go on. So from that, you end up in this same tired cycle of playing safe.

At this point, DC has more limitations and trying to stick with being basic than doing things that could stand out.

They irony is strong and again the counter-productivity is in full force with their not being many projects for SM and WW but this era was suppose to be the gateway to that...rejuvenate etc...🤔

Exactly! This is all we want.

Questions regarding SM and WW relatability and relevance is still being brought up. Superman is deemed outdated and boring. Wonder Woman is or has lost a bit of her importance being pushed into the background, nerfed, used as a mouthpiece. Their purpose has been lost and other ways are forced for a specific agenda. It’s also easier to look at superficial aspects and make them seem deep than actually looking into the actual deeper aspects and bring those forth to explore. Watering Kal and Diana down to be on a comfy level for some has done more harm than good for their characters.

They need a story that will really bring forth some risky topics that will make some uncomfortable, take them out of their element, test their intellectual and emotional ways, and make them open their minds to different broader perspectives. This is what’s needed. Point blank... periodt.

As last son said, Kal and Diana have a multifaceted relationship. That’s one hell of an advantage to really push the limits and look at things from so many different perspectives. This is how you make Kal and Diana relatable. Their “normal” is of the extraordinary but it’s still very much what we deeply would deal with and think about.
