And speaking of creativity, came across a recent SMWW Fanfic writer who writes in the Superman + Wonder Woman crossover tag. The writer mainly writes one-shots and at times a two parter.
It always warms me whenever I see new SMWW fanfics posted despite the current status quo.

You mean for the movies? Well yeah of course, hope so too!
But minus the movies, it was all there or at least starting to roll during new52 until it was all halted and blocked. Superman and Wonder Woman was (still is) a brand together as the “Power Couple”. What they want to achieve, SMWW gives that and more opening many opportunities to hit different markets and no matter the age, gains interest. JPG his/her fragrance was a damn good marketing move with having a companion comic but not only that, but it was a motion comic.
We already know the reactions to their very limited, non existing interaction within DCEU, imagine not only having the interaction, but to see their dynamic fully embraced.

Yeah, the movies. They are the main ones that influence the direction of these characters nowadays.
Think about how fast DC dropped Birthright and the new continuity stemming out of it when Superman Returns was released, to replace everything with more Donner influences like the ones of the movie (there was even Donner himself writing a few arcs with his protégé Geoff Johns, lol). Same for the DoS/Jurgens era stuff in BvS leading to the Superdad takeover (or Jurgens takeover is more apt?). And WW lost everything from the New52 era except what was used in the movies like the Zaus origin and so on...

Obviously, the negative impact that all that had lately on SM/WW both as pair than friends could be reversed by similar circumstances but in SM/WW favor.

Bold: Yeah that shouldn’t be unless it’s guaranteed to have a long term benefit to the characters.

Wonder Woman movie boosted Wonder Woman character but that momentum didn’t exactly stay because trying to translate that back to comics stripping her of development, relaunching her origin yet again and just messy messy continuity hurt her character. That goes for Superman too obviously but has been suffering for years.
Aspects they tried to keep, cherry picking... but maybe twist a bit don’t and didn’t hold. They’ve lost more within these passed 3 years of trying movie synergy than gained. Stripping both characters of a vital dynamic/ bond/relationship be it platonic or romantic that has developed and grown for years more than what they’ve tried now, is a huge loss than what they thought they would gain with tearing it apart.
So in that case, yeah... SMWW has had years proven its a guarantee to have a POSITIVE impact as well as their dynamic has provided more gains and potential for the characters to move forward.

SMWW fan creativity for the win per usual.
I especially adore the detail of the gum stuck on SuperDad's boot on the bottom. Makes it all very much relatable. Along with the adorable munchkins with their SuperWonder parents. ☺️

Yes. It is one of my favorites as well. There is so much conveyed in that image: love, passion, intimacy, trust, acceptance, freedom, tenderness, etc...the way they are just completely wrapped up in each other's arms! It's like they are coming home, and home is in the arms of their beloved.
