in the end it all comes down to how we see Clark's character, his work is very important, but so is his family, if you take away one of these two things, you are pulling something from the character that has characterized him for many years, of course Bendis will say that Clark will still have his family through Superman, but things will not be the same. this would completely change the Clark / Superman dynamic. It could be interesting or it could be a disaster, only time will tell..
