    More of Lois Lane #1:

Totally trivial, but am I the only person who prefer's Lois' pre-COIE black hair? It's not a huge thing, just a minor preference. I especially dislike when it's reddish early post-COIE. I mean, I don't mind it red in the movie. But I liked her black-haired. And not purple-eyed.

Black hair is my favorite. I do like the purple eyes though.

Nicola Scott's variant cover to Lois Lane #2. The Yasmin Purti variant apparently got bumped to #3. Scott is definitely someone I would love to see on a Lois Lane book.

Gotta be honest, I prefer the slight red tint to her hair and purple eyes. It makes her look extremely unique in the DCU.

I prefer Lois to look different color-wise from Clark/Kal.

If Clark/Kal has jet-black hair, then I prefer a dark brunette Lois.

Weirdly, my preference would be Clark has dark brown hair (but Kal has clearly blue hair, b/c ... alien) while Lois has jet-black hair.

I like her being what she originally was, because that's how I got to know her....and to contribute something lookswise to the kid. He gets Clark's eyes and hair, and facial features change so much (for everyone) they don't count. If the kids (anyone's kids) wounded up with different color hair and eyes than their parents (which happens all the the time in real life, but rarely in comics), it might be different. But mostly, it's the first part - that's just how she's supposed to look to me. And humans shouldn't have purple eyes - yes I know they say Elizabeth Taylor had "violet eyes", but they're nothing like that. Save purple for Garth or aliens or whatnot.

I've long since believed that Jon should have inherited her purple eyes, but they wanted him to look identical to his dad I suppose.

I agree with you. Young Jon should never have been mini-Clark but rather his own unique thing (in terms of looks, upbringing and his challenges as a Kryptonian-Human hybrid), IMO.

Superman (Volume 5) #13, variant cover:

Purple eyes. Big brown hair. Lots of eyeliner. Very round chin.

What do you think of this version?

I'd like her hair to be a shade or two lighter maybe a reddish tint but otherwise, this version of her looks pretty good.

This is the Lois I grew up with mainly, and the one that's my favorite - and more brown hair than red, fwiw.
