* I grow increasingly sure of my theory that Conner lived with Clark, Lois, and Jon before he left. Conner says "I'm a Kent. I've always been a farmer." pretty proudly as if he'd been exposed to that before now. That and him getting the name Kent at all in this continuity would require that he'd spent any amount of time with the only living Kents, Clark, Lois, and Jon on their farm in either Hamilton or California.

Y'know, compared to Bart and flashback Conner he actually looks older then he used to...or maybe it's the facial hair .

Just realized that gem world might be orbiting a red sun. On the first page during Conner and Bart's embrace, that could either be a dim sunset or a full blown, power sapping, red sun.

I'm leaning more towards it being a red sun because Bart wonders specifically how Conner grew facial hair. Normally I would just assume that Kryptonians not growing facial hair under a yellow would be unlikely ever since the post-crisis reboot and the famous shaving scene. But then I remember that Bendis tends to be a fan of the stranger aspects of Superman's history in general, AND he's specifically giving Clark the ability to flex his jaw muscles and grow facial hair in an upcoming issue of Action Comics.

So bets seem pretty good that Conner's facial hair is a clue that he's under a red sun.

Yeah Kon should identify as a city kid. Not as a farmboy, that’s going down the Johns route of making him a literal Clark clone. Kon loves the attention and celebrity he gets, he doesn’t want a “simple life” in the countryside.
