Here are my reads for April 2019. Can't stop reading Y The Last Man!! So good and addictive. Should've read it sooner since I heard great things about it in the past but never picked it up before a month ago. Already had the first trade with the first 10 issues at home but never read it. After picking up the Deluxe Vol.1 at a great price, I decided to read and as soon as I finished it I picked up the whole collection of Deluxe Edition at my LCS for a great price!

    Amazing Spider-Man Vol.5 #15-16 (2)
    Amber Blake #1 (1)
    Bone Parish #6-8 (3)
    Dark Red #1 (1)
    Faithless #1 (1)

    The Magic Order #1 (1)

Last month or so of reading:

    98. Immortal Hulk 16

    99. Gogor 1---- I like the look and tone of this series. Weird world building. Can't wait to see where it goes.

    100. Thor 10/LGY 716

    101.Naomi 1

    102. Guardians of the Galaxy 4/LGY 154---- Continues to be a great read each month. Love the cast.

    103. Dr. Strange 12/LGY 402

104-105 Invaders 3-5---- Great Namor story. Huge story. Wish it got more love.

106-110 Amazing Spiderman 18/LGY 819-20/LGY 821(including .HU issues) The Gibbon!!

111-112. Friendly Neighborhood Spiderman 4-5---- Brilliantly follows the tone of Zdarsky's Peter Parker series. Love it.

113 Spiderman: Life Story 2---- Can't wait to see 80's Spidey next issue.

114-117. Avengers: No Road Home 7-10----- Fun series. Not a big fan of the "House of Ideas" meta-ending though. Doesn't fit the tone at all.

118-119. Marvel Team Up 1/LGY 187-2/LGY 188---- Marvel Team Up was one of my favorite series growing up. I have the entire run. This run starts out terrible. Issue 2 is better than 1, but I don't know if I can make it through this whole arc.

120-122. War of the Realms 1-3 This is more of an axle for all of the tie-ins to revolve around rather than an actual story. Shame. Was really looking forward to a real story instead of an "Event" it is beautiful to look at though.

    April - (166 Books)
    • Rat Queens Volume 1: Sass & Sorcery (5) - Didn't like this at all. The characters felt very fake and the plot was just lame, imo. It felt like the writer kept trying to be funny but it just sort of...wasn't. Just wasn't for me, I guess.
    • The Fix #1-2 (3)
    • Criminal Volume 1: Coward (6) - Loved this.
    • Morning Glories Volume 1 (8)
    • Morning Glories Volume 2 (8)
    • Morning Glories Volume 3: P.E. (10)
    • Morning Glories Volume 4: Truants (10)
    • Pearl #7-8 (2) - I know Bendis has been polarizing for the last few years, but I really do love most of his stuff. Alias, Daredevil, Ultimate Spider-Man, Defenders, Jessica Jones...all great. Pearl is shaping up to be great too, which makes sense as Bendis' collaborations with Michael Gaydos tend to be his best works, imo. Pearl is a great protagonist and the supporting characters work really well.
    • Naomi #1 (1) - Jamal Campbell's art is gorgeous and the slow burn really works here.
    • Morning Glories #26-29 (6)
    • Invincible Volume 1: Family Matters (7)
    • Green Arrow Volume 1: Hunter’s Moon (7)
    • The Fade Out Volumes 1-3 (15) - Not as good as some of Brubaker & Phillip's other stuff, imo. The '50s Hollywood setting was cool, and the characters/story was interesting enough but something about it was just...bland.
    • Uncanny X-Men #15 (1)
    • Champions #4 (1)
    • Invisible Kingdom #1 (1)
    • Oblivion Song by Kirkman & De Felici Volumes 1-2 (12)
    • Die #1-5 (5) - Probably my favorite new fantasy series in a while. Stephanie Hans' art is amazing.
    • Amazing Spider-Man #16-18, #16.HU, #18.HU (7) - While Hunted is enjoyable, it feels like a bit of a step down from Spencer's previous 15 issues on ASM.
    • Criminal (2019-) #1 (2)
    • Injustice: Gods Among Us: Year One - The Complete Collection (19)
    • Injustice: Gods Among Us: Year Two - The Complete Collection (14)
    • Injustice: Gods Among Us: Year Three - The Complete Collection (14)
    • Daredevil #3-4 (2)

Best Of: Lots of great stuff, but I'd have to go with Morning Glories. Criminal Vol. 1 and Injustice Years 1-3 were also great, as were Oblivion Song Volumes 1-2 and Die #1-5.
