Noone has more experience with surviving "replacements" than Hal Jordan. Not the least bit worried about this. What is annoying is if it's true, then it's basically DC doing "All-New, All-Different Marvel" five years too late, since apparently the replacements would be different characters and not established sidekicks or other legacy heroes. If anything, the fact that Hal is on the list alongside The Trinity, Barry and Aquaman, shows that DC does still consider him to be one of their premier characters whose (yet another) replacement is supposed to have shock value.

I don't even know why they'd do it. I mean, aside from conceptual success and promoting diversity very rarely were the ANAD mantle changes all that successful.

Jane Thor was the biggest success and they didn't even keep that around.

IMO one of the reason Jane Thor was successful is because that ended at the right point.

Some would still argue it lasted too long...

It's a retro story of the one with similar cover from Silver Age to memorize the great Julius Schwartz.
Hal sold rings to lure out Grodd who committed a crime, and also, to make civilians happy.
I like it. A delightful, optimistic story.

I think that's one of the Blackstars that's been in Belzebeth's crew every time we see them.

If it's MM, it would be interesting to see him as a Blackstar given the other Leaguers aren't changed. He could logically be the only one who understands Hal's plan, whatever it is.

The second part of Hal's appearance in "Batman Universe" was fun, but he didn't do a lot. Bendis does what Bendis does, which is write a lot of dialogue, so that was as playful and fun as the first installment, but Hal disappears before the action starts anyway. (pretty convenient since he could have wrapped up a dozen ninjas with little effort)
