The difference is that HJ&GLC moved really fast (in a good way most of the time) while "TGL" has a lot to unpack. It bears re-reading, so I read the latest again two weeks later to maintain that bi-weekly fix
I agree, the re-readability factor definitely makes the wait easier. HJ&TGLC was always a quick read and that's no critique, since the book was written that way in attempt to serve all the players involved as much as possible. When you have a "police procedural" story about Hal, there's no need to rush anything.
ok, was hal running away from sapphire and jessica had to cover him?
This show isn't going to do Hal a lot of favors but at least he's not one of the main characters and won't be the only character portrayed like a fool. I do like his design though.
It always shocks me that someone can spend however much time it takes to make a fully-rendered drawing like that, (nice, btw) and somehow still get the boots wrong! (it's such a simple costume!)
