Just checked a Bleedingcool article. So TGL doesn't seem to be a part of the Year of the Villain event. Which probably is better for GL.

Me too, created an animated gif of that image(once way back in 03 before there was even talk of an Animated Film (at least it was once an animated gif, in Green looks like it's been turned into a static image again, and not sure how it became pink? (maybe somebody at some point change it for valentines) ?)

A little off topic; I'm not sure how the internet works, keeps, passes on, preserves or tracks images?
It's funny but I can tell that static image above is not from Cooke's original, but from my gif. because it has my sig and date Lucho/03, also the hat, if you compare it to Cooke's original, is in mid turn, and Carol's skirt is re-positioned. All elements I had to "redraw", for the image sequence in the gif.
And I'm not sure how or when it all became pink?
The original was in Green actually from a Cooke promo image, before the books even came out.
This isn't a complaint or anything, I am just a curious how something like that "evolves" in the internet?

Anyway, after all that, the point is yes Cooke's take on Jordan and Ferris is still my favorite.

And this is one of my favorites, there are much more pivotal scenes in the story, particularly for Jordan, yet this down time moment he gets, sums him up best.

Worth posting more of the sequence.
That he waits till the helmet is down to say it, speaks to his true and greatest "fear".
Everything else comes easy for him.

Ha - cool gif. (I like that you also animated the windsock way in the background) I posted that pink version. I knew I had a version of that image in my uploaded files here because I had posted it some time ago in another thread.(maybe Valentine's Day related) I imagine I went looking for it and just Googled it.(I guess - unless I downloaded it off someone else's post?) I didn't do any alterations or anything - that's how I found it.

The Year of the Villain event doesn't sound interesting to me. It feels like a Forever Evil rip-off. And I don't trust Snyder. But I don't like the feeling that Hal excluded from the core of DC Universe as he has been for a long time.

As intriguing as that sounds, you know they would have made Hal look like an idiot or jerk. (or worse, he might've ended up Pym-slapping her and Hank was never able to live that down as a character)
