Yeah, I've been enjoying this run overall, but I think this issue really sold me on it. As someone who's not much of a Silver Age historian, I wondered how accessible this book would be for me, but surprisingly I find the madness of it to be more welcoming than alarming.

This might be blasphemy, but I see a goodly amount of Neal Adams in those pages by Liam Sharp. Meanwhile, only Hal would have the balls to put an entire planet under arrest!

    One other thing about that...

I believe there might have been a "Thanos" analog in the crowd that was debating bidding on the planet Earth.

Ehm, everything points toward Hal trying to go rogue/dirty cop to be kicked out by the Guardians/contacted by the Blackstars, in an attempt to discover who is the traitor in the ranks of the GL Corps.

Hope this turns out better than the last time Hal was acting like he went rogue.

Hal going rogue is an old and tired ass trope. I hope Morrison doesn't succumb to the temptation to go there.

It's just weird. Which I guess suits what the book is going for, but the variant covers for the first two issues were amazing, while the next two variants are rather mediocre.

I was mostly referring to the Renegade story, which was also a relatively recent story, so the idea of Hal acting like he went rogue for the greater good is indeed as tired as him going rogue for real. But GM is doing well so far, so I won't hold that against him. At least with him, you know things won't be boring.

That much is certain, which is why I've been excited about Morrison on the book.

Looking a little too much like a young Huey Lewis.
