    Well, I think, maybe, the God of Light one-shot was so good because the ending had already been fixed by Geoff Johns, which is Hal gave up being God and went to look after Batman. And King's narrative style just fit in the story well.

    Tom King on writing DC characters...

    Even so, King did say he enjoyed writing the characters:

    I mean they’re a joy to write, I love writing them. That’s almost what I miss the most about this book is writing those two. Booster is the most fun character in comics, except maybe Hal Jordan.

    Is this the same guy who wrote "The Gift?" Although I guess Tom King probably has a very different idea of "fun" then I do .

    hal was in "the gift" right? both hal and booster were acting weird there.
