That is a beautiful cover. Need to get that one.

I'd rather see Hal protecting 2814, and as member of the League.

During the Steve Englehart run, it was kinda hinted that perhaps John would join Katma, and act as her partner patrolling her sector, when Hal rejoined the GLC.

Man, I actually would have welcomed that.

Perhaps one of the reasons Hal is rarely on Earth is because currently DC doesn't want him to be part of the League, so naturally if he is on Earth for whatever reason, he would act like he is bored to even be there. Which in itself is weird since they keep telling us that he is best friends with certain characters, yet not only he barely ever gets to interact with them but doesn't even want to stick around long enough to do so.
I can see it. He has some great friends here. The world needs saving and all that and he loves doing it... but when he's on his own??? Earth would be BORING. No flying cars... no wacky alien cantinas.... Still dealing with primitive crap that the more advanced alien planets have long gotten past. Frankly anyone who spends any amount of time in a super sci-fi existence like a Green Lantern... would come to see Earth as a pretty backwards and primitively boring place.

Hal I see as being constantly torn between the new and exciting... and his friends and family that he loves. When he's on earth, he's looking to the stars... when he's in space, he misses home. That just seems natural... not even taking into account any adrenaline junkie personality traits that they sometimes focus on … that's just basic 'spaceman' traits. Like all those people who move from the country to the big city and have a tough time fitting in when they go home.

So yeah, not a core trait when I think or Hal... but it's not far enough outside the possibilities that I can't accept it.

Damn...Hal may have something in common with another fictional hero.

Not sure if this was mentioned somewhere else, but does anyone know if Morrison plans to continue doing GL after this upcoming season 2 is done?

I guess that partly depends if the whole "5G" rumors are true.

Hal is briefly seen in action in the Superman: Red Son trailer.

I think he might end up getting a good portrayal this time around, even if it's short.

His voice sounds a little too old in my opinion.

They were probably going for "gravitas." The tone of this film seems somewhat serious and all "impending apocalypse-y." At least the fight with Red Son seems like it'll be better here than in the comic.

I think it's the veins through the suit, but it looks more...armored.
