Isn't it absurd that a man with the strongest willpower in the universe has drinking problem?
BTW, Highball came from Darwyn Cooke's New Frontier, corresponding to Martin's callsign "Flying Martini".
thanks for doing that. it's nice to be reminded.

Admittedly, I don't visit the comics threads all that often, so I wasn't aware of this.

Hoping that Hal will be an important part in the next DC event.

Depending on how far-reaching Snyder's next DCU event is, he just might show up at least .

Anyone have any guesses how the upcoming Hal vs. Ollie story is going to play out?

It's no problem. We're always happy to help provide obscure Hal knowledge here

Morrison said they would kind of flip the story where Hal would seem to be the left wing guy this time around. I'm eagerly waiting to see Hal call out Ollie on his BS.

Has Morrison written that much Green Arrow? Aside from Final Crisis, which is the only time I can think of him writing Ollie, Connor was GA in his JLA run.

Not much. Morrison actually tried to make Connor a little more like Ollie during his JLA run, so he has an appreciation for him at least.

We don't know what issue it'll be in yet, but Morrison confirmed that Hal will be teaming up with both Ollie and Barry at some point during his & Sharp's first "season" of 12 issues.

I would love to see some retcon flashback panels where Ollie is going on a rant, and Hal is silently thinking: "shut up, fool!"

Well, Hal's not Mr T.... (although that is one man who likes jewelry) Actually, I am okay with Hal being younger and needing his eyes opened a bit on social issues back then. I can't imagine what social issues they would have been dealing with with the sliding timescale. If they were traveling around America in the 00's or something...

Lol...you used the internal Mr. T autotune!

I actually would welcome a modern take on the Hard Travelin' Heroes.

Sadly, the themes Denny & Neal touched on back in the day are still current today.

Racism, pollution, over-population, poverty, & drug abuse still plague America.

Ollie will never run out of social ills to rant about. It is just a matter of how much time & patience Hal has for it at a given moment.
