Hal Jordan: Green Lantern Appreciation 2019

The Year of the Villain event doesn't sound interesting to me. It feels like a Forever Evil rip-off. And I don't trust Snyder. But I don't like the feeling that Hal excluded from the core of DC Universe as he has been for a long time.

it's the same for me.

i like that grant is doing his own thing with hal, and somehow this year of the villain feels a little bit off.

but, i do wish that hal isn't so isolated from the rest of the dcu.

i think i could get my hal fix if hal guest starred in other books, like in the justice league, or the flash, or even more screen time in doomsday clock....

IIRC for most of the 70s Hal and Diana DIDN'T have Carol and Steve respectively? Steve got ditched for the Secret Agent Diana stuff and was gone for quite a while afterwards, Hal and Carol broke up a couple times and didn't get back together long term until the early 80s.

I think Hal and Diana could be an interesting couple but I don't think most writers would handle it that well

Probably, but Hal is disconnected right now from earth. It seems hard for the m9ment for Hal to form any relationships.

Hal and Carol have been off and on for most of their publishing history, so I'm sure they could have fit Hal dating yet another woman in As for Diana, Steve was killed in 1968 during the white catsuit era. He was then resurrected by Aphrodite in the mid-70s, then killed again in 1978, then a Steve Trevor from an alternate Earth (with the memories of the old Steve) replaced him in 1980. So, there would have been plenty of time for Hal and Diana to date during that time.
