I'll give it a chance. If they keep messing up Wally as a character, I can always drop the book.

The sad thing is that if they hadn't screwed him up so badly in Heroes in Crisis, I'd be really enthused for a Wally book. As it is, I'm really in a wait and see mode, because I have no confidence they'll get it right this time. But here's hoping.

Wow. I am shocked. A lot of mixed reactions. First off I'm really surprised they actually gave Wally a series.

My automatic reaction is really happy Wally is actually getting a series but I'm also mad that after they messed him up that NOW he is getting a series . Couldn't have given him one a year or two ago when Wally really needed it.

As far as the solicit I'm torn. On one hand if it's about Wallys "redemption" then screw that. HIC is not the real Wally and the real Wally does not need redemption. Only way this can be fixed is to show that wasn't the real Wally.

With that being said if the series is about Wally trying to figure out why his life is being manipulated and screwed with. Meaning HIC was bull **** somehow then I might be in.

But I want nothing to do with anything that legitimilzes HIC fake Wally.

I have some hope even with Lodbell involved. As long as it's not king. Although Lodbell wrote the Nightwing faisco.
And Brett Booth gives me some hope. Love that guys dedication.

So this might be a glimmer of hope but I highly doubt it.

Edit. Upon closer look it says called himself Flash. Past tense. So I guess hes no.longer worthy of that title and it also says find redemption. So screw this.

That does look like Dr Manhattan in the background with a clock mechanism though. So that's good. But I don't know.

Again if this is the Wally who murdered and covered it up trying to find "redemption " then no thank you. If this somehow Wally who is trying to find out who's been manipulating events to produce HIC that wasn't really him then maybe.

Hopefully this is coming out because there was a huge blowback and they are actually trying to walk back on it and fix it. But probably not.

It's interesting it says "in a cosmos". And given the cover, I imagine this run probably won't take place on Earth then. Or at least not the main version.

It was a fun issue. A very simple but enjoyable story with lots of cameos here and there and very lighthearted and warm. I don't think it's going to be the tone for this book entirely, but that issue was like that.

And now my two favourite characters in DC are in Lobdell's hands. Jason is doing good, I'm intrigued what's going to happen to Wally.
