This is it guys, we live in a weird era where we have to buy an elseworld of the Dark Multiverse if we want good Titans stories ! x)
Um... pardon my ignorance, but are you talking about the Titan Judas Contract story where Wally got a pacemaker (and I quit buying Titans books) or is this something else? Kind of quit paying attention to comics other than the next Fast Forward figuring Wally wasn't going to be in anything.

Of course if this is something else and it ends just as badly or not worse than the pacemaker or HIC.... I'd like to know that as well so I can also avoid it like the ten circles of heck.
Parental care is way exhausting. Gained insight into what my parents went through when I was a baby. Not fun, but what ya gonna do? (Read comics, obviously.)

I didn't like it at all or any of the other Dark Multiverse stories.Retelling old stories and making them edgy is the pinnacle of creative bankruptcy and stupidity.

For the past few months, they've been publishing a series of one-shots called “Tales of the Dark Multiverse” where they take classic storylines and retell them but where something goes horribly wrong. This time, it was the Judas Contract that got the TotDM treatment. What you're thinking of was the Lazarus Contract in the early DC Rebirth days.

No this is not the pacemaker story.

There is a series called Tales from the dark multiverse where they take already dark events in the DCU and make them even darker. Yes Didio is definitely in charge now. Events like Knightfall, Death of Superman or Judas contract. They are essentially elseworlds though and dont take place in the main DCU. They did one one the Judas Contract that came out yesterday. That's what Spider Ham is referring too.

I agree that the idea is dumb in general. Because the main DCU isnt dark enough now that we have to have this as well. But some of them, if they have something to add. are good. Like I think the Blackest night one was really good. This latest one though, Judas Contract was terrible. It's essentially just murder porn. The whole issue is just Terra murdering and massacaring all the heroes in gruesome ways with finally destroying most of the world. Pretty depressing and pointless.

I've liked them somewhat- Blackest Night was awesome and addressed issues I had with the Original since 2009- Namely Lobo and Darkseid and I didnt mind the others as much, it was a fun enough elseworlds

So after #88 of the current volume, we get The Flash #750.

Annuals and special numbered issues (#0, #1/2, #1,000,000, #23.1 etc.) aren't being counted, because they never added to the issue count of the main series. The Flash: The Fastest Man Alive doesn't count either, because it had a different title and didn't add to the numbering of "The Flash" - when that series was cancelled the series resumed with The Flash #231, picking up the numbering from The Flash #230 the year prior.
That's correct. I disregarded Flash comics in my previous post, and ended up only counting Barry's issues of volume 1.

Damn, Bart deserved to be on that count.

I am noticing a trend that in thease what would go wrong stories is that wonder woman never shows up becasue unlike Supes and Bats she can cross the line without it becoming addicting
most of thease stories would be wrapped up if she was on the scean

the best was the losi lane, I prefer when their is some hope at the end before snuffed out, here she pretty much won once her costume changed,

I'm a fan of the concept. Maybe not the extra-dark, extra-edgy execution.... but I've always been a huge fan of the 'What-if" concept of take an existing character/story and change one aspect and see where it goes in an alternate timeline.

Done right they can be even MORE creative... because they have zero future. The whole story can actually GO somewhere new and interesting without fear of damaging the ongoing story or upsetting a status quo.

    I'm still waiting to read:

    Dark Multiverse:
    Didio prefers Wally
"My name is Wally West. I'm the fastest man alive!"
I'll try being nicer if you try being smarter.

    Wow.
So what is the hope of a Light Multiverse elseworlds series where things that went bad didn't?
No, we have a manager in charge who for some reason loves bleakness. (I'm glad he didn't choose some other profession like a doctor, lawyer, or suicide counselor.)

Bart not being counted in the total number of Flash stories is asinine stupid. Are they saying that six-part story was an Elseworld? Granted, I didn't like it, but I also didn't like Mopee and I'm sure *that* issue was still counted.

Not surprising. He probably won't be anywhere for at least a few months after Flash Forward.

Speaking of which, the preview for the next issue is out.
