Yeah, they don't want to admit most of what people love about the Flash outside some rogues was largely developed with Wally as the title character, so they're trying to force Barry into some generic One True Flash Messiah and it's tragic for those of us who already loved Barry.

And that's what I don't get!!
DC were absolutely determined to bring Barry back, and then when they DO, he's unrecognisable.
If Wally was so detrimental to the brand, then why the F**** do they insist on grafting ALL of his traits to Barry???
Barry Allen was a great character who could've been an absolute asset to the already established Flash franchise.
Instead, DC throw out everything non-Barry related and then had no idea what to do with him.
So they take everything from the last 20 years and add it ALL to the new Barry Allen.
As a Wally fan, it pisses me off no end. If I was Barry tragic, I'd be asking when DC were going to bring him back. The bloke appearing currently ain't Barry Allen.

Your opinion. There are some non picky comic readers out there like myself and that doesn't mean they don't care or don't like quality stories, you just...go with the ebb and flow of the writers. There's been good and bad writing since these characters appeared in the 1940s and it's a pendulum swing, writing can go from good to bad at any moment. So, if you think the writing is bad for Wally, give it a little time, it'll gradually swing the other way.

Explain to what is so great about Wally's direction? I am genuinely, curious. Since, i don't see it.

He's not being written as an incorruptible hero, that's what makes it compelling.

And he was before? Dude, getting buried is not same as getting a flawed characterisation. Have you ever watched wrestling? If so this is similar to cm punk turning heal to face the rock and loosing the match and the title. CM punk was wayyy over with the crowd.but the mcmahon wanted cena in the main event at wrestle mania. So, cm punk got buried for cena. Like wally getting buried for barry.
This is similar to dark Knight returns were superman got buried for batman. And clark has been getting the short end of the staff ever since. Look at the Injustice games. Superman is used as prop to show how great and righteous batman is.

So are you implying that by being "non picky" you are somehow better than other readers who voice negative opinions?

People keep saying be patient and things will be better. They say that with Wally, with Dick, with the Titans, with the JSA, with the LoSH, and so many more. We shouldn't have to wait damn near a decade or any number of years for DC to put effort into their own properties.
