First look at live-action Stargirl (and STRIPE):

The bad news is the show's premier has now been moved back to 2020.

First Starman I remember reading about was Jack, and his solo from the 90’s is still my favorite thing Robinson has ever written.

I see Ted's base of operations was considered to be New York City before they retconned it to be Opal City.

I just read all of James Robinson's Starman. It was really good. It was nice to see a superhero story that got a proper ending (unlike some, I don't quite agree with the sentiment that one of the strengths of superhero comics is that they go on forever). I have to say, Opal's a weird city. Not only is its hero Jack Knight obsessed with the media and material culture of the past, everyone who steps inside the city limits seems to as well. I'm pretty sure the gangsters in most cities don't argue about which was the best Sondheim musical. And I'm also pretty sure the idea that Copperhead collects transistor radios was never acknowledged before or since.

Robinson retains the rights to Jack? Never heard that.

That is correct! Which is why he probably hasn’t appeared since the end of his run.

I always thought it was more that DC was respecting Robinson's wishes and, frankly, Starman isn't a character they seem to care enough about to stir up bad blood with him by bringing Jack back.

Either is fine with me. I loved Starman and I have no need of more Jack Knight stories. I like how his story ends and there's something great about someone being able to actually retire and make it out of the cape business.

Courtney being a dual legacy and honoring both works more than enough for me and I really do love that she's going to be our link to a live action JSA. She's the perfect character to do so.

Well, I'm not sure if they'll use her much beyond being an internet blogger/news outlet, but it's nice to see her.

Looks like she's covering the Outsiders.
