no that's the cartoon you are thinking about and thank god DC didn't go with that direction with how it treated Carter with so much disrespect that made me hate the show to this day.

right now there's Shayera Thal(Empress of Thanagar) who is hawkwoman and Kendra(earth's hawkgirl) and both of them are Shiera(carter's wife) reincarnations.

So I asked Venditti on Twitter if we would be seeing the Hawketeer and he said next issue. I'm really excited for that. Way too solid an idea to be relegated to the background or group shots.
