Default "The World's Greatest Archer": Green Arrow Appreciation 2019!

What a better way to start the year but by celebrating some of the best moments from the Emerald Archer?

(Hint: Lemire/Sorrentino's run is still best).

Does anyone think that Green Arrow not being a strong fighter adds on to him being an underdog? I noticed that he gets his arse handed to him at times.
Imagine being proud to have negative traits. I can’t relate.

DC: Justice League, The Flash, Justice League Dark, Superman, Action Comics, Green Arrow, Justice League Odyssey, The Terrifics, Teen Titans, Titans, Brimstone, Female Furies, Damage, Heroes In Crisis

Marvel: The Punisher, Cosmic Ghost Rider, Venom, X-23, Cloak and Dagger, Jessica Jones, Sentry

Indies: Unnatural, Jeepers Creepers, Project Superpowers, Black Hammer, Ninja-K

Those kind of things can change from writer to writer. For example Batman is invincible at hand to hand combat sometimes, and sometimes a thug sneaks behind him and takes him out... lol those kind of thing are always inconsistent.

Yeah, I hated when Winnick made him a ninja. It kind of ruined his combat dynamic with Black Canary and made him just overall more generic.

I believe Ollie should be a competent enough fighter. Not at Batman's levels or not even Dinah's but he should be skilled.

People often forget that archery is an extremely complex art by itself and becoming an expert of it automatically developes your strength, speed and precision so Ollie being the World's Greatest Archer should make him easily above an average fighter.

I believe Winick did good with that aspect during his run but I'm not necessarily claiming for such an overly-efficient Ollie to return.

I’ve been reading it the last couple of weeks, about half way through.

It’s very good...but must admit the thought had occurred a time or three that Frank Miller ought to get a share of the writing credits: it’s got a lot of similarities to the Frank Miller Daredevil run.
