Could have been Bachalo's idea, and Bendis just wanted to be cool with his artists. Bachalo did use this design again in X-Men Black.

Matthew: Of course she does. Emma is tortured and sees no other choice in that moment. But she is also one of the smartest and most Machiavellian characters in the Marvel Universe. So she is playing several moves ahead of Callahan in that moment. She knows that the serum will be a short-term problem that she can handle if her long-term plan works. And that’s the only angle she can play at the time.

No, it's not Emma like at all, I always have say that I hate revealing impractical outfits, high heels and bitchy attitudes in some feminine characters...but Emma is not one of them,Emma is glamur over practicality, and Bitchiness over kindness, that's her core and should be respected.

Totally. Punk is so not Emma. I love her style, and there’s this artist, Miguel Mercado, who drew these great Emma Frost Vogue sketches, and he made up an entire makeup line that Emma would’ve used and stuff. That’s how I always imagined Emma.

Ugh. I know. I still prefer his early Generation X stuff. He is by no means a bad artist; but his DESIGNS ARE AWFUL. The only one I really like is the Cannonball one from the Mike Carey run.

Also, Emma's shaved head reminds me of the villainess from Captain Planet.
