So someone on twitter noticed HoX referencing the Emma Frost solo series.

Wonder if this too is a suggestion from Leah Williams. Hard to see Hickman paying that much attention to it at least. Totally flew past me.

Emma is one of Hickman's favourite characters. Why wouldn't he pay attention to her solo series?

Emma is such a softie. She's still using that perfume and she started wearing white for Christian *_*

We need a scene of Emma interacting with the Hellions.

I think the Stranger Things writers must be X-Men fans, or perhaps, specifically Emma? Of course, the main character has mental powers, but something new just came up - S4E1's title is The Hellfire Club!

Er, might it not be a nod to The Avengers? Or even the real Hellfire Club?

The very first episode of the show referenced Uncanny X-Men 134, the first appearance of Dark Phoenix. The Duffer Brothers haven't been subtle in their Dark Phoenix Saga allusions, and the internet has been comparing Eleven and Jean Grey since Day One. The title could possibly be hinting that Eleven will eventually become corrupted or evil.

Possibly, but they do actually reference a particular issue of the X-Men Dark Phoenix Saga in season 1.

Edit: Nvm, I see nightw1ng already pointed out the reference.

Wasn't a lot of the stuff Claremont did referencing The Avengers to begin with?

Well, A Touch of Brimstone, and Mrs Peel in that outfit is classic British TV for his (my) generation.

Peter Wyngarde was one of the actors in that episode.

And Jason Wyngarde is an amalgam of the character ‘Jason King’ from the TV show of the same name and the actor who played him, Peter Wyngarde
He was one of my first crushes, along with Jon Pertwee. But then I saw RHPS and all other men faded in comparison to Frank...

I always had the suspicion that Emma Frost’s name came from Mrs Emma Peel, CC is such a fanboy. And yes, I fancied her too.

That's a good catch. I just read her solo recently and didn't catch it myself.
