The bullet scene always made me emotional.

A lot of people complaining about the Emma/Kate relationship should re-read Astonishing. It showed both of them mutually respecting each other and Emma developing feelings for Kitty like she had for her previous students. Her crying when she was lost in the bullet clearly shows how much she cares about Kitty.
