Line it drawn
The Marvel 1000 Cover is out. Emma is on it twice, both as 80s White Queen. Kind of annoying. You would think for how the anti-Emma force parades her being pushed in the 90s and 2000s she would get a representation there, but no.
Land Emma is from a Fraction Uncanny cover.

It's this one.
TBH I'm kind of happy that she's in there not once, but twice.
"I wish I could live life five times over!
Then I’d be born in five different places,
and I’d stuff myself with different food from around the world.
I’d live five different lives with five different occupations...
and then, for those five times...
I’d fall in love with the same person..."

Is there any way to get the original image of Emma in the top left panel without the edited captions over it? It's so beautiful

Is this about the editorial bogeyman again?
Don't think the X-office is responsible for this cover in the first place, and does not seem like the editors micro-manage the contents that much either.

Looks like it's mostly up to the choices of this artist/freelancer(?).
I hate that they mention the movie version of Emma because that was awful, but the costume is pretty good.

What was wrong with movie Emma? I am curious what liberties they took with her.
the actress looked great, but how'd they screw the character.
Ah. Reason enough. Honestly, they need to fix Emma & Shaw in the comics. Was better when she was his equal and the two were locked in a power tug of war rather than retconning her to be his abuse victim and the reason she became a "bad girl."
I don't follow Emma that closely, but I can agree it was better when she had more agency & was independent. I think her HFC dealings. She was a powerful woman with a good mind for business, and was valued for that. Then it changed to her only getting with the HFC because she was a low rent stripper who moved up due to sleeping with Shaw, I think.
But overall, I think the FOX films were a menace. Nobody was properly cast imo, and some liberties taken were best left not taken.
