It's going to be ok! I promise, Hickman will keep Emma as an ongoing member and probably put her on his core comic that he is personally writing in the fall. I expect that she'll get a good characterization in HoX/PoX and at least come out of this event looking a lot more positive going forward.

I was actually reassured about Emma because of the end panel, as much as the entire run sucked, Emma is still standing as a member of the X-Men and is front and centre for the press in the final shot. (although what the heck with all the porn poses)

In fairness, so were Mystique and Magneto. There's evidence to be optimistic, but I'm still fuming over how Rosenberg treated Emma. Even cancelled my tickets to Portland Wizard-Con coming up because Rosenberg will be there and I know I'd lose my crap arguing with him.

Eh, I can use that $125 for something else. One of the people I wanted to see also cancelled, so it's not JUST him, but it didn't help.

If we're lucky, he'll never write another X-Men book again. Hopefully Marvel will hand the Avengers over to him.

He said this is the last X-Book he's writing, but hopes it's only just for now. So seems there's no immediate plans for him to come back, but he's hoping to.

Why did he even resurrect him in first place? he even had a mini about resurrecing Madrox, all for this.

I can't even be angry about what was done to Emma because everybody was written like a Moron. The story was so bad it reminded me of some Japanese RPGs

He didnt exactly resurrect Jamie. He created a dupe thats been in his books, but Jamie Prime was still dead

Well, he did showed up in the Cyclops thread, and no one was happy with him either. I have developed a major talent for summoning him accidentally, don't want to risk it.

Here's hoping. Can only get better I suppose. But I've said that before.

The best way to enjoy Marvel books these days is trust the writers you like and, if they're not writing it (or if they are, but it's an event or a run with heavy editorial interference), assume the absolute worst possible outcome- most of the time, you'll be right, but when you're not, there's a pleasant surprise waiting for you.

Yes, but even then you'd have to be cautious. What makes me excited for this Hickman run is not only his talent, but the fact he was brought him by the publisher himself, the dire state of the company and the fact that if he's out, there's no comparable big gun to replace him, so they have to give him enough freedom.
