Yeah, I don't have hopes up because, among other things, Rosenberg is clearly using this as a chance to tell stories he dreamed about in the 80's/90's and ignoring the last few decades of characterization and continuity to do so- hence bringing back obscure characters from that era, acting like the X-men discussing and voting about their problems is something new, telling a "New Mutants grow up and take a more proactive role in the X-men, whether they like it or not" story when not only this has been done before, ironically no X-men leader gave more freedom to them than Scott, Havok complaining about wanting respect from Scott when he has given leadership roles to Alex more than once, Illyana acting like she barely knows Cyclops despite the years they spent working closely, etc. And in the 80's and 90's, Emma was a villain.
Mind you, there's the good news that Hickman is both a fan of Emma and will ignore everything that happens here, so it's better than nothing.

Just read Uncanny X-Men #18. Did not see that last part coming. Should make Emma Frost's pending return a lot more interesting.
