Eeehh, we've seen plenty of evidence that Stark is paranoid about his tech falling into villainous hands. Him just leaving tech lying around doesn't ring true at all.

the original demon in a bottle, or the later relapse during obadiah stane?

I think I prefer the latter, simply because it goes into more detail with his spiral, and has the conclusion of him saving the kid with his body heat in winter when he's homeless.

I prefer the latter as well. It really got in depth with Tony's addiction and show how far he fell and how he had to dust himself off and pick himself up again.

Yea def the second arc, it was more in-depth and very emotional. Following the second drinking arc, every attempt of another alcoholism story with Tony fell flat and didn’t capture what that story.

For a moment, I was thinking that was Thor's dialogue and a signal that Disney was planning to purchase Masters of the Universe.

I only remember reading the original, so OG Demon in a Bottle would be my choice.

Demon in a Bottle. I haven't actually read the original Stane story yet.
