I was flipping through the newest issue of invaders and Tony was right about Namor of course. He was in the issue telling Cap the exact same thing.

"We live in a world of cowards. We live in a world full of small minds who are afraid. We are ruled by those who refuse to risk anything of their own. Both of what he said was wrong. Stark didn't choose not to change history, he simply pointed out that your history can not be changed, because attempts to do so merely create alternate timelines. Rogers also didn't harm anything, because it's literally impossible to harm anything in that fashion. All he did was create an alternate timeline. The only mystery is, how did he get back to the main timeline? By rights, Rogers should have simply vanished from their universe entirely.

...It's very unlikely they could have undone the five years even if they wanted to, so it's silly to harp on it.
Regardless, does this writer realize that all of the people born in those five years, not just Morgan, would essentially die? They're okay and advocating for that? Tony is not thinking of the greater good because he doesn't want to kill millions of people!
CBR puts out such thoughtless articles.
Yeah the article is bunk.
spoilers:end of spoilers
Tony wants his own daughter to stick around but as pointed out, plenty of people had been born in the intervening five years. What it's getting at is basically Thanos's plan towards the end, remake the universe to his own design, but sure it's not a problem when the heroes do it.
Captain America going back in time doesn't necessarily change anything yet. Peggy is still capable of dying and having that moment with the younger Steve. It doesn't mean the other Steve couldn't have been around and that was just kept from his younger self.
Perhaps CBR needs to think an article through.

I sort of agree, but according the russos the
spoilers:end of spoilers
intention was that they didn't want to erase 5 years of people being born and their memories while undoing the snap.
However, a counterpoint would be that in taking the infinity stones out creating entire alternate timelines complete with bajillions of lives and when they return those stones, many of those alternate realities would be erased effectively killing everyone in them so the avengers would be playing god in some way.
Plus suddenly bringing 3.5 billion people back after 5 years of the planet acclimating to half the population could lead to mass starvation, homelessness etc not just on earth but everywhere in the universe.
Many people who were in relaionships would come back to see that many of their partners have moved on. Many people may have committed suicide from the trauma and depression of the snap.
I know these things aren't intended and may not even be shown, but they would realistic consequences of not undoing the snap across time
