I have to say, I agree with every one of these. I might add Avengers #161 "Attacked by the Ant-Man", and Avengers #262 when Namor joined the team after an epic fight with Hercules.

I am on Avengers 18 and am reading my favorite team of Avengers. Quicksilver, Captain America, Scarlet Witch, and Hawkeye. Outside The Fantastic Four The Avengers are the best team. I cant wait to read a lot of the stories mentioned here.

I dunno i think some of the 'newer' issues have been looked over. The comic that made me realize that I actually like Captain America. Avengers Vol 1 #360 "Alternate Visions"
And the finale of the Under Siege story Avengers Vol 1 # 277 "Price of Victory"
Another finale that stayed with me through the years was Avengers vol 1 #347 "Empire's End" (which you did mention)
The issue that summed up the Harras/Epting/Palmer run Avengers Vol 1 #375 "Last Gathering"
I think that particular era of the Avengers is ignored because the 90s as a whole were all a bit, well, blah. But they had some great art (probably my fave art in Avengers history), interesting dynamics between a great team line up and the Gatherers storyline which was epic as all hell.

I think that particular era of the Avengers is ignored because the 90s as a whole were all a bit, well, blah. But they had some great art (probably my fave art in Avengers history), interesting dynamics between a great team line up and the Gatherers storyline which was epic as all hell.

I think that the 90s were mixed and all over the place for quite of number of titles at the time. If anything, I'm more likely the focus on material from Marvel's first 50 years (1939-1989), though I indeed still manage to have some post-80s favorites here and there.
