Mr & Mrs X: Gambit and Rogue Appreciation 2019

I would love to see more of Rogue's backstory with Mystique and Destiny. Who knows, since Destiny had a small part in HoX, maybe we will see her again soon and we can get the whole family back together.

I would love to know what Destiny thinks of Gambit and his role in Rogue's life. We already know what Mystique thinks. But somehow I think Destiny would be fonder of him. She has an entirely different, very big picture perspective on life. Plus she knows what their future is or could be. God, that would be a fascinating read, even if she's being vague as hell as she properly should be.

The only time she’s ever referenced him would be in her diaries drawing him in is underwear spread eagle. So she understands what’s important about him.

And hey, if they want to rewrite Rogue's history, even better. I think CC wanted to make Destiny Rogue's biological mother--I think that would be a much better origin than the trippy backstory her miniseries gave her.

I was happy to see Savage Land Gambit to balance the Savage Land Rogue.

Hickman did say there would be some actual X-Men in next week’s book, so maybe we’ll get a cameo? (Or we can fast forward to Excalibur?)

I was kind of wondering/ dreading if the savage land outfit would show up, given Krakoa ‘jungle theme.’ If it’s limited to a variant, i’m Ok with that. Though at least this is a fun cover, rather Logan and Emma are rather random.
