I don't like Johnny and the soulmate thing, but Johnny getting terrible stories like that isn't new. The ending reveal of today's issue put the final nail in the coffin for me.
I'm finishing this arc and then I'm done.

EDIT: Doom 2099 on the other hand continues to show me that Zdarsky is great with the characters and I will always be upset that he didn't get to bring the team back.

Since Sky has powers, they'll have a hard time explaining why she doesn't accompany the team on missions. Is Slott turning them into the Fantastic Five?

I hope not. That's a Fantastic Four book I actually like.

As for today's issue. I was angry. It was a good issue with Sue rightfully pointing out how Johnny and Sky were basically his relationship with Crystal all over again, but what made this a waste of a book and money was

    spoilers:
Reed being absolved of his involvement with the accident. I can easily get behind updating the shuttle to an experimental FTL engine, but I cannot get behind this one. Reed doing something stupid despite his intellect and the guilt he feels is good for his character. This retcon ruins it. I hope Reed makes a mistake.
    end of spoilers

On Johnny/Sky thing, it still bores me and Sue was completely right. This makes me hope that a twist is being planned or something. Like while she see's Johnny and her soulmate, he see's someone else. spoilers:
Just like how while Citadel see's Sky as his soulmate, she see's Johnny.
    end of spoilers

    spoilers:
The retcon is lazy, adds nothing, and takes away an important aspect to Reed (his guilt). All for a boring villain that we'll forget about soon.
    end of spoilers

I don’t get the negative replies. This latest issue felt more like a classic FF book to me than the last several issues.

I personally didn't hate it at all. In fact, I found comedy value in it at the very least.

The ending should be torn out and burned, however.

Yeah, same here. I've been enjoying this arc a lot. It feels like the FF to me. I love Slott's characterizations - particularly Ben's - and the tweak to the FF's origin this issue is interesting to me. I'm curious as to what repercussions will come out of it. So, thumbs up for me.

People don't like the addition of spoilers:
    Mopee
end of spoilers into the FF's world?
