Are we sure she didn't have an affair with Jesse Alexander instead? The resemblance between Franklin and Sam is uncanny.

On a serious note, I really don't like how Sue was portrayed in Grand Design. She honestly felt so cold and emotionally distant the entire time which annoys the hell out of me.

And agreed. Sue's portrayal has her as someone who legit doesn't want to be there and never did. It's not 616 Sue for sure

It's more insulting because the FF break up because Reed does something stupid (coma ray, Civil War)

From what I understand Grand Design wasn't ment to be in-continuity.

Its an nice alter-timeline based on the Kirby and Byrne run but with big differences especially in the end and it shows that since it gave a definite end to the timeline.

BUT considering how time-travel works in the MU, then this could be the timeline that spawned the 616. Franklin going back in time could have created a new timeline that became 616, hence why it continues in FF# 5.

I liked it for what it was.

Fantastic Four: Negative Zone - A nice little story about Reed as a scientist and how he handles some things. The Fantastix back-up story made me think that they have potential as a full on comedy team. Like the "Great Lake Avengers" version of the FF

I actually loved this issue. Just read it today. I highly recommend it. Short, concise, tight storyline with the grand scope of Negative Zone in background. Loved the writing, design, and everything. Reed actually looked...well...Cool for once.

I don't dislike Slotts stories or look for the FF, but I wouldn't hate the person who wrote this taking over someday.

They even seemed like a team for once.

Then it shouldn't have been called Grand Design. X-Men: Grand Design was a retelling of 616 stuff, and so people expected FF: Grand Design to be the same.
