Looking for something to read I came across this on my bookshelf.

I remember how excited I was to get this in 1979.
Back when trade paperbacks wern't very common.
    Great cover.

Someone really needs tell us how old they are. It's only been 5 years for them. Franklin I can just about see learning to drive, but Val at max would be 8 maybe 10 years old.

But I will forgive this one time. Perhaps War of the Realms reset Franklin's hairstyle. Whatever makes me not look at that eyesore.

Also, a teen driving test plot still annoys me. Putting aside the controversial ages, I don't like this because I don't like driving test cliches. The last driving test plots I actually liked were about a sponge under the sea.

TBH, I feel like Esad's covers have gotten weaker with this book and others recently. They look... less refined?

I like his Thor covers because his art style easily gives way to giving off a mystic or esoteric vibe, especially in Niflheim or Jotunheim. Here, it looks incomplete. I can't quite pin my finger on it.

My head canon puts the kids at 15 and 10. This is from Franklin's last given age of 8 and Val's famous 3. Add two years for the Time Runs Out and the Fraction year along with the five for the multiversal reconstitution and poof, 15 and 10 year old kids.

I am looking forward to this story, though. Some personal fun separating cosmic drama is needed here.

With the Fox/Disney deal complete, I'm looking forward to a proper Fantastic Four push.

I have mixed feelings about the deal and potential MCU FF movie.

For the way they are drawn I would have said at least 11 for Valeria (the age that the woman start to develop) and 16 for Franklin, but also think that you logic makes sense.

I also loved him in Thor but there are two very different environments, were the other is around battles and warriors and looks awesome, I have to say that this is not his best work, the faces of the children are somewhat creepy.
