Yeah, but it also shows that Storm is still getting respect and treated as one of the main mutant/X-Men leaders as she should be, imho. spoilers:
She was the MC of the resurrection ritual/ceremony. She was the one who got to declare that each of the resurrected X-Men were genuine and not just clones or whatever. I loved it when she kissed Scott's forehead and hugged Jean. Storm and Scott's exchange references when she beat him out for leader.
    end of spoilers

Storm shines in House of X today. Not by the flash of lightning but with her spirit, charisma, and flair. Her interactions with the individuals and then to all of Krakoa were a marvel to witness. I’m so excited. Pour me a cup, Ms. Munroe for I am ready to DRINK.

Having Storm be the "preacher" of this was the perfect choice. It utilizes her charisma and time as leader and goddess.

I still think what's happening is shady as hell, but Storm was used perfectly.

Are we sure everyone isn't brainwashed/influenced by Xavier?

Everyone sounds... weird. (except wolverine). Including Storm.

The cult aura is so strong.

anyway, interesting aside, was Wakanda refusing Nation X and protecting a few AFrican countries as well. Hmm

I don't get the cult thing. It's a new nation. Is it a cult when a presidential candidate gives a speech and the crowd does the same?

Storm was absolutely GREAT in today’s Issue of HoX #5.

Regardless if this came off as a Cult vibe. You can’t deny the fact that Storm knows how to rally a Group. I didn’t expect Storm to shine at all, but this was a perfect choice. I see Storm as the Heart if the X-Men.

    Thank You Hickman. Much appreciated.

Yeah, they refused it. Wonder why??? And since they refused it that means they rejected acknowledging Krakoa. Which means Storm and T’Challa May Fight!! Yes!!!!

I think the new status quo is meant to be seen as both awe-inspiring and ominous. It is very cult-ish, but it's also only logical for the X-Men to become militant and devotional after everything they've been through. You cheer for them even as you find it spooky and unsettling. That makes the X-Men dangerous and alien again. But they're also still the people we love in new forms. And Storm as chief propagandist/hype woman/preacher is perfect. She believes and we believe, even as we also find it unnerving.

As for Wakanda, I think they remember AvX all too well. The Krakoan nation and its power and potential are very similar to the Phoenix Five.

lol, I had this vibe of a lot of people drinking the Kool-Aid, it really did feel a little like a cult. But you could also interpret it as a display of mutant nationalism too. You are right that this is a new nation and the mutants are actually pretty excited that they have a safe place to live where they won't be hunted down or ostracized any longer.

Given some of the company the X-Men are keeping I don’t exactly blame Wakanda for not wanting to put their head in the sand just to accept drugs they already have. Clearly the X-Men got some ominous stuff going on and I’m thinking T’Challa doesn’t wanna give up the right to interrogate potential Krakoan spies. It’d be interesting to see how that convo went down, if at all. But the biggest question is if Storm and T’Challa’s relationship can get through this. Hopefully that gets touched on in Marauders or X-Men.

    100% Agree.

I can understand how this felt like a cult. But as you said they are finally a a nation. A prideful one at that.

Right, but I assumed even if they didn’t need the Drugs they would have done it for Ororo. Eh, I’m sure it will be brought up like you said in Marauders.

I mean, did you just see the cast of villains that came through the door at the end???

Why wouldn't T'challa be suspicious as hell on what is going on?

It isn't like other nations were happy about it. Emma just cheated.

    This whole thing smells rotten.

I doubt Hickman has read or gives two shits about what Coates has been doing with the two.

Plus, the current solo is still way back in the past (in marvel time).

I would imagine Hickman's status quo reigns supreme right now. Especially with Coates book floundering sales wise.
