you know I totally agree here. there was an emphasis to make her relatable and I feel that was one of the missteps of the book. when you say the book was more about what others saw her as versus who she truly is, what do you see ororo as truly being? has any writer recently shown her as such in your eyes?

I feel like she made energy weapons before but I can't remember when.

I read Marauders but it didn't do anything for me. I wasn't blown away and my opinion about the book still hasn't changed. The only thing I found interesting was Kitty unability to access the island.

but canonically speaking Kate still said it. and she was never called out on it.

I agree it was 30 years ago or so but when did she ever apologize for using such language? or show remorse? I just cant with her.
