I've noticed that since the merger of Fox and Disney it appears Ororo status within the franchise is slowly rising. She has been reintegrated into the larger mythos of Wakanda as a goddess both within the comics and other potentially far-reaching platforms such as video games. This is important because it allows for synergy between the comics and mcu if ororo appears in black panther 2. She has slowly been having a greater presence in merchandising and games, such as the 80 year anniversary barbie doll. Within the comics we have her as the xmen (lady) figurehead in fearless and announced as an omega in Hickman's xmen has seen a renewed interest in the character. I see this gradually expanding as time progresses. With all of this I am encouraged as a fan and I believe there are a lot of great things to come for Ororo.

I'd argue that her place in Wakandan society is what's so amazing. It harkens back to her time before she becomes the Storm we know and love. She was helping multiple villages just because she felt it was the right thing to do. Here, she's doing it all over again. While the Wakandans of Alkama shower her with praises and niceties, she refuses it all because helping restore balance is just the right thing to do.
