Storm was the biggest gun in the arsenal today. Both in Black Panther and Fearless. As she should be.
you know I love getting you excited and all riled up.
yes she was. not that I'm complaining because I'm not but it seems like there is a recent shift in the depiction of her. she went from taking naps in gold to being the only character able to hurt x-legion and now being wakandans biggest gun and the biggest gun of women when including iw and captain marvel. why do you think this shift in ger depiction is occurring??

I liked today's issue of Fearless, it took long enough to get some action...
Still think the story could've been much better and much more epic for that particular group of heroes.

is that normally how Carol acts? she seems like a child. unable fo stay awake during the speeches, going crazy about coffee? she came off super annoying.
I did like the dynamic between ororo and sue as you described. it was exactly like that . I have fo look at how she was drawn again i thought from my initial read the artwork was ok.

Doesn't help that the only ways to tell who was who was the fact Carol was in costume, or when they used their powers. If Carol had been in civvies it would've been hard to tell her and Sue apart, the artist didn't make them look different.
Melody Guthrie also saw some action in that issue.
spoilers:end of spoilers
Dived to save a mutant camper, and got a haircut from a Kree blaster as a consequence, so you can imagine what would've happened if the blaster fire hit someone. She mentioned that she used to be an X-Man and X-Men save people, especially mutants.

So my initial thoughts without giving spoilers are that Marvel within the Xverse and outside it are setting up the stage for Ororo being one of the biggest heroes when it comes the protectors of the planet. There were two issues today that looked at the concept of the earth being invaded and in BOTH cases Ororo was the big gun that decisively ended the invasions. The fact that in one of these books the "earth's mightiest hero" was not able to do this I think leaves bigger implications of what is to come for this character outside the xbooks. Will this lead to more appearances in books where there are imminent threats to the planet? Will this lead to a potential solo? Who knows but I dont believe this to be intentional.
Now within the xbooks, she has been confirmed an omega mutant which is a revered resource in krakoa. Additionally, it appears she will be on the Council of Krakoa which gives her an even greater influence. It seems the days of the stormbot are behind us and the depiction of her across offices is one that I believe she be celebrated among her fans!

I don't know how to do a proper spoiler warning, so I'm noting a a mild spoiler alert here.
LIGHT SPOILERS BELOW
Okay, so there are pages of total Storm awesomeness in BP. But it's the last panel before her big splash page that I absolutely love, guys. You have to really pay attention to the panel because in the midst of smoke clouds is a small image of Storm coming through. It's subtle but so powerful because you're like "WTF" and then the splash page of her full arrival. Every page is amazing. She's a one-woman army that get's it done. Loved it. This is what I love about the way Coates thinks about Storm. In a panel with Storm, an off-panel quote reads: "Something greater than self" as Storm descends to the land/people she just saved, with two of the people she saved looking up at her. The entire off-panel monologue was about gods, and the story of men not being complete without the inclusion of gods. Every bit of that was overladen with Storm scenes. You have to see it to fully get my point or appreciate Coates' depiction of Storm as a goddess.
On a different note, there was a brief but cute exchange between Storm and BP. He was about to go on a mission different from hers and he said, "You can make it without me for a little while, I take it?" Storm responds, "I suppose my love. We've made it this far, haven't we?" This is such good characterization of the two and their relationship. T'Challa takes himself way too seriously, sometimes, and it takes Ororo to bring him back to reality in a way that isn't intended to insult or emasculate but to affirm what they both know--he doesn't need to stress or do everything on his own because she knows what in the hell she's doing and will take care of it..
