    Some BP sequel ideas:

    Development

Basic premise: Wakanda has stepped into the spotlight and as king and Black Panther, T'Challa must deal with the consequences of opening up his technological paradise home to the rest of the world on an international scale

The villain: Achebe, who is going against T'Challa and his plans to help the world using Wakanda's resources and technology. He could have some links to Killmonger.

    Possible secondary villain(s)/new characters:

    - Kraven the Hunter: Who just wants to challenge the Black Panther. A (slightly racist) notorious poacher across the African continent. Hired by Achebe.

    - Princess Zanda: A White Widow-esque (MI: Fallout) character. Has no real stake in the conflict. Neutral or plays both sides.

    - Moses Magnum: Makes his money by using child soldiers and selling weapons across Africa. Wants to get Vibranium weapons.

    - War Dogs that accepted Killmonger's mission.

Locations: Wakanda, neighbouring African countries, Oakland (USA), Vienna (Austria).

Alpha team (globe-trotting): T'Challa, Nakia, Shuri (maybe with Okoye).

Beta team (Wakanda based): Ramonda, Okoye, M'Baku, council Elders.

Zeta team (antagonists): Achebe with his assassins/hitmen, Zanda, Moses Magnum.

Gamma team (others): Ross, US government, UN with the Sokovia Accords, other foreign governments

    Story elements:

    - How do some of the xenophobic Wakandans feel about T'Challa opening up the country to the world, letting their knowledge, resources, technology, refuge, and culture be shared with outsiders? This will be handled with the Beta team

    - How does the rest of the world feel about the emergence of a global superpower being from the African continent? This will be hand the Alpha team, Zeta team and Gamma team.

    - Alpha team are in charge of maintaining and creating goodwill between Wakanda and the rest of the world, with the public outreach centres, refugee programs and meetings across the world, as well as covert missions across Africa freeing the oppressed and to uncover the plots and schemes of Zeta and Gamma teams.

    - Beta team with Ramonda assuming the throne in T'Challa's stead are in charge of maintaining the peace within Wakanda, dealing with the politics of an absent king and open borders.

    Character elements:

    - T'Challa is king of Wakanda and Black Panther undisputed, and is confident in his mission to place Wakanda as the new world superpower to help the rest of those in need using soft power. He uses his training by his father on diplomacy as well as advice from Ramonda and Nakia to shape his policies for Wakanda and how he interacts with other countries and their representatives. Upon discovering Achebe's plot, he understands he must play a political and military game of chess, looking to gain an advantage over the anarchist.

    - Nakia is head of Wakanda's social outreach programs originating in the US and others across Africa. The mobile social outreach programs are largely what takes Alpha team across the world, and with T'Challa (who are now comfortably lovers) conduct covert missions liberating the oppressed.

    - Shuri spearheads the science and information exchange, determining which one of Wakanda's exotic and advanced technologies as well as their precious information is shared with the rest of the world. She has all access and information of Wakanda's advancements. She provides the tech and backup assistance for T'Challa's and Nakia's spy missions.

    - Okoye is protecting Ramonda as her personal bodyguard should Wakandan politics and the refugee situation turn violent. She knows she is no good in covert missions and her loyalty to Wakanda and the throne overrules her desire to travel with T'Challa.

    - Ramonda is the king's regent, governing Wakanda in T'Challa's stead as he tries to spread goodwill across the world. She has her own brand of politics but believes in her son's mission and enforces it in Wakanda, wary of the different feelings of political leaders towards it.

    - M'Baku is the newest member to the tribal council, representing the Jabari. He has his doubts on T'Challa's mission but respects the brotherly bond they share, and therefore assists Ramonda and Okoye.

    - Achebe is an anarchist/terrorist who has several links to traffickers, terrorist factions, poachers and much more in the African continent and overseas (to which many are disrupted by the Alpha team). Likewise he is against T'Challa's goodwill mission and sees the opportunity to further his reach if he can sabotage Alpha team's mission and plant seeds of influence in Wakanda furthering the xenophobia and/or hate for Wakanda from the rest of the world.

    Tone: A James Bond/Mission Impossible-esque political/spy thriller/drama with social relevance.

I'd be surprised to not see Denzel and David Washington in BP2.

    Another idea...

start the movie off with a royal wedding.

Last movie showed us a royal tribal fight ceremony... this time, show us a wakandan royal wedding

t'challa/nakia go off on their honeymoon, achebe uses this to put his plans in motion.

While thye are off together, they get notified of some **** going down, and decide to go on spy mission together as their updated honeymoon while Okoye and Co handle the stuff in Wakanda.

    Production

    - As difficult as it might be for the cast and crew, I'd love if they shot some scenes for other African countries to be in those countries. I think it'll just be a good image if it was shot there. I'm not sure about doing Wakanda there since they've got that covered with principle photography and sets, but it'll still be great.

    - Largely keep the same production crew from the first movie, but I am open to changing the fight coordinator. According to Chadwick Boseman's trainer, Marrese Crump, Chadwick is capable of a whole lot more as a martial artists than we saw in the movie. Let the beast out. I would like to see more stylish actions scenes with intense performances. Give me stuff like this, this, that twelve minute prison sequence in DD season 3, and this. Undeniably the best fight scenes in BP were the ones that fit Coogler's sensibilities (forest, tribal and casino fights) so I want him to stick to stuff like that. Plus, give me longer takes, dynamic camera movements and angles, and less cutting. I also wouldn't mind if Marrese Crump is the new fight choreography since he had a very good relationship with Chadwick.

    - Keep the CGI replacement models at a minimum. I don't really see the point of creating a suit that's clearly practical enough for an actor move around in it and is also damn gorgeous, and then replacing it with a damn ugly CGI model. I can understand adding CGI effects on the suit in post, but I have no idea why Marvel still does this practice. Let the craftsmanship of the suit shine through and only replace it when a very impossible stunt needs to be pulled off. No need to replace it when Chadwick is just walking.

    - In relation to the above, let the post production process be given enough time. Late reshoots should not be ordered and really, let Coogler take the time he needs making this movie as your new golden child. Clean up those special effects and edits.

    - The new BP suit should be modelled to be a stealth suit or stealth upgrade. In addition I want it to be established that the suit is a collaboration between T'Challa and Shuri, merging their traditional warrior and futurist ideas into a new suit (to symbolise Wakanda's tradition and futurism merging together). The new suit being a stealth suit, should be fitted with technology that we haven't seen in the MCU before. Camouflage, soundless/sound absorption tech, energy daggers/tech capable of stunning goons, gas grenades etc. High tech spy stuff.

    - I also want to see T'Challa's enhanced senses be emphasised in this film to fit into the covert stuff. That's one disappointment I had in the first movie. T'Challa should use these senses to spy, infiltrate, read people etc.

    - Nakia should bring her spy work heavily to the table so we can see what War Dogs are capable of. I wouldn't mind if she got a costume for spy missions too.

    - Also emphasise T'Challa's training in diplomacy and strategy and the conflict should be a game of chess of sorts.

Enhanced senses seem hard to put in live action. Only wolverine has pulled it off from memory. But yeah, I wanna see that. Gives us more separation from Cap/bucky/SSS as well.

And we are 100% getting camo suit.. either Nakia/War dogs are gonna wear them or T'challa. It is gonna be Shuri's newest suit invention. **** sells itself easy. I don't even really like invisible suit as I prefer it straight from ninja skill but that **** is happening lol.

Exactly. Show us Wakanda unifying and being an all around great place it was hinted at being by narration.

give us some more great costume, put the boring english monarchy wedding to shame.

Nakia is river tribe. We didn't see much of them... this is a perfect chance to show us more of a tribes costumes with a wedding.

Also... great chance to introduce Bast in real form if you want. Have the new head shaman to replace Zuri (Taku? Mendinao? N'gassi?) perform a ceremony to get Nakia blessed by Bast herself comic style. Or send her to the Djalia to receive the blessing of past Panther/Pantherwives

Honestly I think a wedding is something you probably want to save for the third movie.

It's sort of the same criticism some had with BP marrying Storm... you're rushing to the wedding and skipping the build up to that.

Plus, it's probably something you want to save if you're bringing closure to the BP trilogy of movies (assuming it's a trilogy... in theory there's no rule that it has to be but that has been the pattern). It gives him a send off, even if it's not necessarily an ending.

Tony was left for dead by Stane and was saved by a robot. He then couldn't even beat Stane himself and Pepper had to blow the building.

Thor literally died for a bit after the destoryer smacked him. He then was losing the fight with Loki (with a built in "i don't want to kill my brother) until he finally got bored and lightning AOE his ass.

Cap got rocked by Skull first meeting. Fucked up and got his best bud killed on the train. And was losing that fight to Skull until Skull decided to hold an infinity stone by hand like an idiot. And then Cap had to kill himself to save the day.

Strange was 100% outclassed by Kaecilius (and even goons lol) until he pulled a magic macguffin out of his ass.

I think Ant-Man was losing to Yellowjacket until he suicides himself. GoG as a squad got bitchslapped. Spider-Man pretty much failed the whole movie lol.

What was weird about BP, compared to the others (except Spider-Man) is that we saw him in a movie right before where he was Jason Vorhees in a kitty suit. So watching him take L's or near L's was jarring. Also... some of hte editing needed a bit of work IMO in those fights.

Thank BAst we got a 100% definitive, no macguffin, no suicide, solo kill in the end. That is EXTREMELY rare in the MCU.

BP2 he will get amped up a bit I'd imagine just like the others did. you always gotta do "more" to keep the casual interest.
Fair enough. Going from CA:CW BP to slight struggle BP was an annoyance. That said, I never watched the first Cap, but I watched TWS and I expect that same energy shift for BP damn it!

We had long stretches of not seeing T'challa at his peak.

Especially considering the opening nigeria scene was too damn dark in theaters (fixed for bluray but still). We then didn't get to see peak t'challa until Korea and then another large gap until the mound fight.

5 action scenes with T'challa... one too dark (in theaters), two depowered, and two normal.

The Daredevil TV show handled enhanced senses really, really well and that's the kind of stuff I wanted to see. Sometimes it's Matt just pointing out stuff a normal shouldn't be able to (like the smell of aftershave on a guy several floors below) or you get a full sequence of Matt using his senses to track people.

There are a few moments in the film T'Challa's enhanced senses could have been shown, are there are some that it makes sense that they were used anyway. So just a bit more emphasis

The first movie already established they'd been in a relationship for quite awhile, and they even briefly teased about the role of a queen. They don't need to wait to at all. Hell, 90% of the movies my wife watches start with the couple stumbling into each other in the beginning and being married by the end.
