Basic premise: Wakanda has stepped into the spotlight and as king and Black Panther, T'Challa must deal with the consequences of opening up his technological paradise home to the rest of the world on an international scale
The villain: Achebe, who is going against T'Challa and his plans to help the world using Wakanda's resources and technology. He could have some links to Killmonger.
Possible secondary villain(s)/new characters:
- Kraven the Hunter: Who just wants to challenge the Black Panther. A (slightly racist) notorious poacher across the African continent. Hired by Achebe.
- Princess Zanda: A White Widow-esque (MI: Fallout) character. Has no real stake in the conflict. Neutral or plays both sides.
- Moses Magnum: Makes his money by using child soldiers and selling weapons across Africa. Wants to get Vibranium weapons.
- War Dogs that accepted Killmonger's mission.
Locations: Wakanda, neighbouring African countries, Oakland (USA), Vienna (Austria).
Alpha team (globe-trotting): T'Challa, Nakia, Shuri (maybe with Okoye).
Beta team (Wakanda based): Ramonda, Okoye, M'Baku, council Elders.
Zeta team (antagonists): Achebe with his assassins/hitmen, Zanda, Moses Magnum.
Gamma team (others): Ross, US government, UN with the Sokovia Accords, other foreign governments
Story elements:
- How do some of the xenophobic Wakandans feel about T'Challa opening up the country to the world, letting their knowledge, resources, technology, refuge, and culture be shared with outsiders? This will be handled with the Beta team
- How does the rest of the world feel about the emergence of a global superpower being from the African continent? This will be hand the Alpha team, Zeta team and Gamma team.
- Alpha team are in charge of maintaining and creating goodwill between Wakanda and the rest of the world, with the public outreach centres, refugee programs and meetings across the world, as well as covert missions across Africa freeing the oppressed and to uncover the plots and schemes of Zeta and Gamma teams.
- Beta team with Ramonda assuming the throne in T'Challa's stead are in charge of maintaining the peace within Wakanda, dealing with the politics of an absent king and open borders.
Character elements:
- T'Challa is king of Wakanda and Black Panther undisputed, and is confident in his mission to place Wakanda as the new world superpower to help the rest of those in need using soft power. He uses his training by his father on diplomacy as well as advice from Ramonda and Nakia to shape his policies for Wakanda and how he interacts with other countries and their representatives. Upon discovering Achebe's plot, he understands he must play a political and military game of chess, looking to gain an advantage over the anarchist.
- Nakia is head of Wakanda's social outreach programs originating in the US and others across Africa. The mobile social outreach programs are largely what takes Alpha team across the world, and with T'Challa (who are now comfortably lovers) conduct covert missions liberating the oppressed.
- Shuri spearheads the science and information exchange, determining which one of Wakanda's exotic and advanced technologies as well as their precious information is shared with the rest of the world. She has all access and information of Wakanda's advancements. She provides the tech and backup assistance for T'Challa's and Nakia's spy missions.
- Okoye is protecting Ramonda as her personal bodyguard should Wakandan politics and the refugee situation turn violent. She knows she is no good in covert missions and her loyalty to Wakanda and the throne overrules her desire to travel with T'Challa.
- Ramonda is the king's regent, governing Wakanda in T'Challa's stead as he tries to spread goodwill across the world. She has her own brand of politics but believes in her son's mission and enforces it in Wakanda, wary of the different feelings of political leaders towards it.
- M'Baku is the newest member to the tribal council, representing the Jabari. He has his doubts on T'Challa's mission but respects the brotherly bond they share, and therefore assists Ramonda and Okoye.
- Achebe is an anarchist/terrorist who has several links to traffickers, terrorist factions, poachers and much more in the African continent and overseas (to which many are disrupted by the Alpha team). Likewise he is against T'Challa's goodwill mission and sees the opportunity to further his reach if he can sabotage Alpha team's mission and plant seeds of influence in Wakanda furthering the xenophobia and/or hate for Wakanda from the rest of the world.
Tone: A James Bond/Mission Impossible-esque political/spy thriller/drama with social relevance.
