Outside of Sunspot, bitch-ass Gentle, and (of course) Manifold, I ain't heard of most of these muthafuckas

Actually, I think Spike was on the cartoon show, not the famous fox one, but the later one where they're all teenagers or something.

But if midnight is correct that 1/3 of them are ugly, another 1/3 have shitty/useless powers, and the rest are decaying on a shelf somewhere... well... that probably explains why none have caught my attention.

Hell, their saying Bishop and Jean Grey (the actual Jean Grey) are about to be a couple... which made me think two things: 1.) I hope buddy don't wind up dead like Rhodey did because somethingsomethingpoortastejokeaboutdatingwhitewom en and 2.) I think Bishop's been asexual longer than T'Challa was in his post-marriage life!

But i just find it funny because we've talked ad nauseam (on here and HEF) about Adam, Jericho, Luke, Ty, Eric from London, etc playing garbage minutes... but there's a whole slew of 'em on the other side of the offense that can't even get in the ball game

    Cool things from Shuri

    - Moses Magnum made an appearance looks to be villian for the next couple issues

    - Tchalla has been secretly working with a Pan African Alliance . Which is cool idea I hope they explore in future books and hopefully it opens up the door to other African Heroes being used and Wakanda dealing with African issue outside of their own. It is source of complaints about Coates writing rape camp in Wakanda I think found way for BP to operate in Africa more freely then a story like that would have happened in another country but hey main point is expanded use of africa not the coates story.

-Shuri would work better as team book imo and remember seeing this quote in another thread

I think they have been floating enough these Wakanda adjacent characters around that you could take them and do something with them

I'd settle for one of them actually being a character instead of a powerset.

QDJ and Vibraxas at least feel real thanks to capable writers who know how to expand a mythos.

    EDIT:

and any "Wakandan Team" needs to be lead or supervised by Okoye. She seems to be the one who benefitted from the movie the most.

With the DM being mostly gone, her new role could be leading a superteam

Cable and Bishop are both time traveling badass soldiers with giant guns.

One of them they decided to keep being a time traveling bad ass soldier with a giant gun with a bonus edition of being ridiculously powerful if he isn't infected and being a borderline savior of the mutants type.

The other they thought would be cool if he committed planetary genocide to kill a baby.

Pretty much sums up the X office in regards to minorities lol

And everyvtime I see Gentles name, I feel insulted. Get this man out of the mythos.

Bishop is to Cable what MCU Rhodey is to RDJ Ironman. Completely useless and unnecessary and lacking even a smidget of effort.

Why does Bishop have to have such a lame powerset?

Even I'm lookin at Jean Grey like, "guuurrlll, you can do so much better than that! You can have Manifold! Take him!!!"

Well, the X-Men as a franchise is basically just sucking up all the stories of actual minorities and then giving those traits to boring white characters.

So basically Rogue is the perfect X-Man.
    Pull List:

Marvel Comics: Venom, X-Men, Black Panther, Captain America, Eternals, Warhammer 40000.
    DC Comics: The Last God

Bishop and Jean are bonding over destroying planets of innocent people

Makes great pillow talk. "oh yeah baby, imma destroy you like you did those brocoli looking people!"

Can we have a story where Gentle sacrifices himself to bring Zuri and W'kabi back to life instead lol?

The comics are wasting Nakia and Shuri...

But yes, Okoye seems on the verge of breaking through.. largely because of what Aaron seems to be setting up with Agents of Wakanda.

Vibraxasusarious (or however you spell that confusing ass code name) is the black Gon, but that wouldn't be until black panther 2.. i'm tryna tell ya. They gon cast him young, him and QDJ

Didn't even try with Nakia, botched Shuri, haven't touched M'baku, destroyed the DM right before they blew up on screen.

    W'kabi's dead. Zuri's dead.

Spent 1.5 years building up some other doras only for them to get thrown in the background once the movie blew.

We sitting here talking about a young Wakandan team with names like ASha, block, bull, FF kid... when we can't even get the big names right....

The Hunt back in the Infinity event did reveal that Shuri at one time was headmisters of the Wakandan School for Alternative studies. So it's a pretty easy starting point for a new book about teen Wakandan heroes if they wanted to go there. Maybe have the support staff be some Wakandan related characters not being used, like Kasper or Queen Divine Justice.

The best they could do with Killmonger was make him some lackey of Kingpin in a completely unnecessary (albeit well written) origin story that does nothing to move the bar in current 616. Even symbiote-Eric does 1 cool thing every 8 issues, and there's only been 8 issues.

A bunch of hacks are running the department. Bum ass doras

Aneka, Changaroo, Stane, the old ghost lady telling shuri all those boring stories in season 1.. cotdamn what a waste

Stane was such a waste that they solved the problem and had T'challa defeat him in a Captain America book for Bast's sake.

Such a terribly-ran franchise with their racism and misogyny. Fiege gon have to race-bend half their starting lineup or pull some scrubs from the D-league and boost their 2k ratings
